Visited Wing Ho Chinese Restaurant in Cowes for a winter treat and they don't disappoint. In a group of six we got to sample a good cross section of their mains and each choice was simply delicious. Friendly attentive service and a great family meal outing for anytime of the year. Best option for Chinese meal on the Island.
We visited with friends on a very busy Saturday night. The restaurant was full and a queue for takeaway. We were told that the food would take an hour as they were also short staffed due to COVID. The staff were friendly, very helpful and regularly checked with us. The food was simply deliscous, quality was excellent and serve portions more than sufficient. Thank you for a fantastic night.
This place totally exceeded expectations. We are grateful to the couple who failed to turn up to their booking because we can’t imagine having eaten dinner anywhere else. We had the Banquet A between the two of us, and while it was a mission to get through we enjoyed every moment of it. Our waiter was epic. If you’re reading this review, you already know - go to Wing Ho.
Wing Ho was amazing food and great service. What a delight to find such good Chinese food on the Island! Such attentive staff and everything we ordered was perfect. From the spring rolls, the hot and sour soup that I’m extremely fussy about! to all mains. Well done, truly! So many restaurants in Melbs are not at this level. Thank you.
What a gem of a place. Went there with family and the food and service were amazing. Never have I seen such large portions. The staff were very lovely and their personalities only added to the experience. If I lived closer, I'd be there every week.
Delicious food! We ordered the satay chicken, combination birds nest and fried rice. All were lovely and cooked to perfection. Service was great too! 5/5 stars!
We came here after being recommended by a staff member at the local Coles. We wanted to get takeaway and could not fault the meal at all. The food was extremely good. We ordered special fried rice, Singapore noodles, chicken with spring onion and ginger, orange chicken, seafood omelette, sweet and sour pork, prawn crackers. The chilli oil on the side was also great with the rice. Staff were very friendly and helpful with ordering. Will highly recommend and will be back.
Never Again!!! Such a bad experience. The service was rude and they are cheats. Ordered nine dishes - so a large order - for collection. On arriving home with the order I found that they’d forgotten the rice. I phoned and they apologised and told me to please come and collect it another 40 minute round trip for me while the food would be getting cold. On arrival they wanted me to pay for it $30 for 5 rice AGAIN. I had the receipt showing payment but evidently I couldn’t prove that they hadn’t included the rice the first time. Just ridiculous. In the end I walked out and bought microwave rice at Woolies. Even though they’re cheaper than the other place in town it’s not worth the “saving”.
Chicken meat in fried rice was not fresh with sour smell. Although they have changed another one without chicken meat, I still got stomachache after taken few mouth of rice. I will never come to this restaurant again.
The meals were very flavoursome and brought to the table within a timely manner. I had Satay Chicken and vegetables, just awesome. Good serving size, lovely waitresses, who had good attitudes. Well done, next time I'm in Cowes, Phillip Island, that's where hubby and I will be having dinner.
