Great family stay. Room was big with a second room for the kids to sleep in, already made up. Super clean and staff very helpful. Electric car charger was easy to get to and working with a decent charge rate. Had Christmas lunch, good value and very nice. Will stay again 100%Rooms: 5/5
Went for a high tea afternoon at The Leaf Restaurant and had a wonderful afternoon. The selection of food may not seem like a lot, but once you get through the whole selection it was more than enough for both of us. They were even happy to cater for a dairy intolerance, and the scones were warm out of the oven. The selection of teas were of very good quality and the champagne by the glass was a nice extra touch for that luxurious experience. Wish we had been placed on the restaurant rather than one the side of the restaurants and the fire alarm going off in the middle of the cream tea for no reason takes off a single star. Overall, a great experience for anyone looking to add a classic English experience to their Windsor visit.
Me and my partner stayed here for 1 night, we chose to upgrade to a bigger room which was on the first floor and overlooked the high street with a slight castle view. Check in was easy and they kept our luggage until the room was ready, our luggage was placed in our room for us which was a bonus. The room was big, modern and clean, however some areas could be improved limescale in bathroom and painting The large king-size bed which was comfy rather hard but nice for us. The bathroom was very nice and away from the bedroom. The amenities included were great, however they come in bottles that are used by those who has used the room previously. I did send one back as it was sticky and had a hair in it. Staff promptly fixed this issue. The room we had 104 was located at the top of the stairs and we could hear the restaurant below until gone 11pm. We did call reception who said that the noise should die down which it did before midnight. Another slight issue was that the heating made an awful noise when on, we got away with having it off in mid-January so it wasn't much of an issue but occasionally it would kick in and make a noise which was frustrating. They did compensate us for this. The hotel gave us a complimentary drink, I'd recommend the virgin Pina colada- I could not tell a difference! The staff at the castle are very friendly and attentive and I would stay here again, just not near the stairs!
If I could give this place zero stars I would. It was not at all how it’s advertised. The staff are unfriendly and the beds are uncomfortable. Mine had lumps in it and I had to ask for a mattress topper to help me sleep. The rooms were outdated and dirty. Also have the thinnest walls, you can hear everything. Worst part is the dust, clearly it’s not cleaned properly because you can see everything covered in dust. It was so bad I got a dust allergy. So disappointed with it. It was so expensive too.
Perfect location, great room, great food. An amazing young lady on reception at the hotel, I wish I had got her name, was extremely helpful and patient with us.. We ate 4 times in the leaf the food was good and the service excellent,we found all the staff at the hotel and the restaurant extremely friendly and helpful... we will certainly return.. Nearby activities: Windsor Castle Walkability: 2 minute walk to the castle, 6 minute walk to top of the long walk. and nearby eateries and places to drink.
A lovely hotel in a great location. The en-suite could have been cleaned better and the part of the hotel we stayed in had joining doors to another other hotel room. This meant we could hear everything being said next door clearly from 6am onwards on a Saturday morning. Not what you want when looking for a relaxing weekend break. However, the reception were helpful and moved us to another room.
Lovely hotel in a perfect location near Windsor Castle! Paid a bit extra for the separate living room area which turned out great when I needed to nap and my better half caught up on some Football. Would definitely come back!
Very disappointing! The afternoon tea was so bad! The sandwiches had barely any fillings to them…very mean! The scones were flavoured with lemon which is NOT traditional. The jam was watery! The patisserie, eg: the fruit tarts were served with soggy pastry! The other cakes eg Battenberg were way below the standard of any hotel afternoon tea I’ve ever had. Give it a miss!
Absolutely lovely and delicious food. The staff was super welcoming. Chef Suraj has excellent food variety . Chef Lorenzo and Samantha was brilliant too.Service: 5/5
