We recently held a family event 80-90 attendees at The Windmill Hotel. It was a hot afternoon, but the well-prepared beer garden was cool and inviting. The staff were a pleasure to work with: from the planning, set up on the day, service of excellent food and drinks, to the final pack up. A lovely relaxed venue with knowledgeable staff who helped make the day so special.
Pub Review:nnThe food was very fresh and tasty — no complaints there. However, the drinks pricing is blatant gouging. A pint that’s three-quarters lemonade and one-quarter beer cost $9.50 — why? Because apparently they don’t have a button on the register for mixed drinks. That’s just ridiculous.nnWhen questioned, the staff who were pleasant and clearly just following orders shrugged and said, “We don’t do it.”nnThe same attitude applied when we asked to swap chips for mashed potato — “We don’t do swaps.”nnHonestly, how hard is it to show a little flexibility in customer service? For a pub trying to pass itself off as upmarket, this comes off as petty and stingy.nnFresh food is great, but the rigid rules and overpriced drinks left a sour taste.
Staff attentive and helpful. $15 Snitzels we good value for money and calamari was lovely. Overall a great evening
