Prepaid $18 from 1100 to 1700 for an event at the convention centre. Just used my bank card to swipe in and out upon departure. Most of the lower levels were full, but that's expected. I usually have a lot of anxiety driving in the city, but having everything sorted and an easy place to park in was really calming. Great experience, more me, and I will use this same process every time I go to future events at the same place. Also, it's good to take a photo of the carpark letters sometimes, lol.
Absolute rip off. 6pm to 6am is supposed to be a flat rate of $14. Come in at 5:35pm expecting to get charged 1/2 hour of hourly rate of $14 and the rest flat. Got charged $56 instead. What a rip off!!
INCREDIBLY EXPENSIVE, CHAOTIC AND SLOWnIf you are thinking of a shopping or eating visit to South Wharf avoid driving and having to park in this carpark!nIt is super expensive - we paid $24 on a Saturday afternoon when we ate a quick lunch and bought some clothing - and there is no discount on the parking fee for purchases made in the stores. It is absolutely chaotic to drive into and out from. Not sure why they designed it this way but the incoming and outgoing vehicles use the same driveway so, at every turn, there is a jam because the driveway isn't wide enough. This leads to long delays and driver frustration.nThe entry / exit has a pedestrian crossing running directly across it but is isn't at all obvious to drivers so be very alert to pedestrians around you.nGood aspect is the on-roof lighting that indicates where free car spots are. There are also spots reserved for people with mobility issues.nThe car park has several levels and the zones are fairly well signposted eg level 2 D. There are lifts and above ground bridge connections to the shopping complex.nExpect a long wait departing on the Montague St exit as this is a very busy intersection with very little preference allocated to the car park exit.nnMy advice - ditch the car and instead catch a train to Southern Cross Station and walk over to South Wharf. Far less stressful, cheaper and better for the environment :
Wilson Parking is my go-to for city parking. The booking system is super easy to use, and the rates are quite reasonable compared to other options. The parking facilities are always clean and well-maintained, and I’ve never had any issues finding a spot. The security is solid, so I feel confident leaving my car there. Great service and convenience – definitely recommend for hassle-free parking!
Worst parking ever. Even though it says 24/7 the basement gets locked at 11.30pm. No access to the basement with lifts or stairs. All the fire exits are locked so safety is at it's worst. Had to wait an hour to get inside. Customer service agent and emergency contact person was extremely rude unprofessional.
