I'm a older person from Toowoomba with a problem with a Fairlane sedan's handling ,whilst on holidays at Bribie Island. The bloke at the bus stop told me to go to Wilkie's "shop" because he couldn't fault their work and as a bonus, were the RACQ rep's on the Island. On taking the car there, the receptionist listened and then immediately told me to wait in the office lounge while she went to the workshop to arrange an inspection. Steve made our acquaintance, and put the car on a hoist. No problem found. Jamie took over , did a test drive and identified a worn bush and under-pressured tyres.The receptionist "Tash" made us coffee and comfortable whilst this hour passed. Jamie told us the verdict, explained how the symptom fitted the cure, assured me the car was safe to continue my holiday. They WOULD NOT TAKE any money for the whole episode, assured me to feel free to call in next time for a chat. If that's Wilkie's treatment of the public or to RACQ members, they as a team are to be congratulated. WELL DONE and I hope to refer this to as many friends and locals at Bribie as I can. Thank you again -it's so good when you are miles away from home but someone treats you as a client of long standing.
