This is great cafe tucked away at the west end of Hurstbridge. The cafe is cosy and charming inside with a choice of different table styles including couches. Outside there is a spacious deck on the front where you can sit and watch the world go by. Dogs are welcome on the deck and water is provided for them. Top level delicious coffee.
I went here for breakfast, very good food. They have so many coffee options and it is absolutely amazing!! I love the ambience and decor of the place as well. It’s definitely a busy cafe and a prior booking is always recommended especially on the weekend. A must go and try cafe for sure!
Wombat is badly understaffed...advertising for new employees. Sole staffer was great, but seriously under pressure with long waits for coffee. She was sincerely apologetic, but our group 11 had to be very patient.Food: 3/5

My wife and two kids 3 and 9 months were on our way for breakfast, we arrived at the Wild Wombat cafe to see that it was maybe still closed, we called to see if they were open and the lady said they open at 8:30am even though online says 7am, thats fine, the lady had said we can sit and have a coffee prior. It was 8:15, we happily sat for 10minutes in the car then got the kids out of the car to make our way to the WILD Cafe, my daughters was excited for a Baby Chino. On arrival the lady which i believe is the owner greeted us with a flat looking face then asked if we had called prior which we said we did. She started shaking her head at us in anger whilst walking of telling us where our table was. I know we came early, although you greeted us over the phone to come in, we arrived with our two young kids and you shook your head at us before even entering the door, shame on you to even have a business to greet a family the way you did, my daughter kept asking for a Baby Chino whilst we walked of. My wife and kids have come to another local Cafe and were greeted with massive smiles and acceptance.
Best egg and bacon rolls ever. Add hash brown and bbq sauce for extra win. Lovely staff.Food: 5/5
we stopped in for brunch in this delightful cafe. Offering seating inside & out & a relaxing play list The coffee was delish, as was our food. Smiles all round
The staff where very attentive and without having booked. We got to sit outside near the fountain what a lovely area. I had a coffee and sugar was available on the table great as most cafes do not give you sugar now. My friend had a muffin and iced coffee. I am sure we will be back if passing thru the area. The only down side at present is the road works and the lack of directions as to which road to take to leave the area. I am sure this affects business at present especially if you are not a local.
Coffee was good, a bit weak. Should have asked for a double shot. Nice lemon slice.
Delicious coffee, fast service and friendly staff! Managed to make my coffee in time for me to run and catch my train! Will be coming back.
