In short: Dishes are tasty, but barely any customers ever there. In long: Wild Clove is an Indian restaurant with great tasting dishes. We were given some pea soup as a free taste tester when the waitress brought out our menus which I really liked, however the staff didn't seem to be able to answer many of our questions about the dishes when we asked before ordering, which always concerns me a little bit. I generally expect waitors to know how dishes are served unless they are fairly new. The meal I had, - Chicken Khadi, was really delicious, and my friend who had the Mango Chicken loved his dish! Really, the main downfall was that we were the only diners there while we were having dinner! It made the four of us quite uncomfortable for the 2 hours we were there. It's nice to have some background chatter from other diners. We went on a weeknight however, so I'm not sure if it gets better on the weekends.
I wonder how I would have satiated my cravings for Indian food outside the home, after shifting to Australia, had I not stepped into the Wild Clove. You have a really warm and cozy ambiance. In fact, even my friends love coming here and savoring the authentic Indian delicacies; it has simply won their hearts! Next time I am going to take my mother to this place. I am sure she would love your dishes and enjoy them just like I do.
I am simply amazed with the quality food that Wild Clove offers. I am an Indian and have been staying in Australia for a long time now. I always pine for the Indian flavor. Once Wild Clove was inaugurated, I was doubtful whether they will be able to provide me the food I was looking for. But one day when I ordered pure North Indian food, I was mesmerized. The dripping butter from the roti reminded me of my mother. I always look up to Wild Clove whenever I miss Indian cuisine.
I have often heard about Indian cuisine and one of them finally took me to this place. The Wild Clove took me by surprise – the ambiance is so welcoming and so are the staffs at this place. Of course, India is known for its warm hospitality! I was so glad to visit this place and savor the awesome food! We had the Malai Kofta, Lachha Paratha, Butter Chicken and I even tried the Kashmiri Rice with Beef Dopyazza. My taste buds now just crave for Indian food since then!
I’ve been a big fan of Indian food over the last decade, and I have to say the flavours at Wild Clove are amazing. The right balance of savoury and sweetness and spice. Delicious samosas, along with our favourite mains: their Lamb Korma and Aloo Baigon. Give it a try. You won’t be disappointed.
There are many Indian restaurants here but the Kashmiri Rogan Josh was just awesome here. A friend of mine suggested trying the authentic Indian food at the Wild Clove and now I know why! I also loved the Garlic Naan with Chicken Korma. It reminds me of the korma that my grandmother used to cook for us when we visited my grandparents. It was succulent and just with the rightly balanced spices for a taste that is still so fresh in memory
The Wild Clove, which serves up better quality Indian food. Although entrees and mains are the standard dishes you find in most Indian restaurants across the country, at the Wild Clove they are all well prepared and use decent ingredients.
They delivered lamb that was unfit for consumption. When I asked for a refund for that dish alone, they said no but offered a 25% discount on the next opportunity to give us food poisoning. It's not their policy to give refunds, luckily for them it's their policy to deliver food that makes people head for the casualty ward. Embarrassing on their part. Avoid.
Ordered take away on a Sunday night. It's been and hour and 20 minutes, still no food. Well we rang them and chased them at 1 hour and 40 minutes. Apparently the food had been sitting in the drivers car while he delivered 8 deliveries. Needless to say it was cold when it arrived. Mona Vale restaurant delivering to a Mona Vale address....seriously. The owners advice, bring it back...really!!
Of 3 dishes ordered none of the containers was even close to full. One of them was only half full. Taste was average at best and luke warm. When I rang to speak to someone about it I was told that "There's nothing they could do". No repeat business from me, that's for sure.
