Great food and the service was impeccable. Free taste testing of 10 flavours!!! will leave you wanting to buy them out of their schnapps or gin. Having been in the hospitality industry for over 15 years, I was very, very impressed by the overall quality of everything. The scenery is amazing and we had a lovely walk around the property, which had alpacas and some quirky art. A MUST see if coming to the area.
had a great lunch the kids got the veal burgers they loved them we got a few antipasto dishes and some cocktails. the grounds was great to stroll around and see the sculptures. recommend to come for the tasting bound to find something you would like and look and the scenery.
Enjoyed an early dinner here about a month ago. Food was good. I enjoyed the Austrian food selections. Although the menu is small I think most people can find something they’d like. I felt that service was a little slow in just coming to ask us if we’d like a drink. I don’t know about you but if a go to a distillery I think it’s fairly obvious that I’m thirsty. We booked over the phone and arrived 10mins early and were told our table wasn’t ready. When a table became available it was really small which was disappointing. Additionally we were seated in a walkway with one seat being below a bookcase making standing slightly awkward. I’ve put pictures below for reference. The schnapps was good. The beer was good. It would’ve been nice to be able to sit somewhere and be able to relax without feeling like food etc would fall off the tiny table or worry about people brushing past constantly.
Great grounds to explore just watch for all of the septic field and delicious drinks to try. Quite a diverse crowd. Was family friendly when we visited in the afternoon. Most seating is outside but lots of options depending on the weather.
Wonderful experience. The food was delicious I had the soup of the day and my husband had the sausages and was preceded by a schnapps tasting. OMG I never imagined schnapps could be so amazing. The apple strudel was fine but not quite as good as my grandmother's could be a bit flakier and use a smidge more cinnamon. If you get there, try the butterscotch or sour apple schnapps...both are amazing. The setting is so green and tranquil. Wonderful!
I enjoyed stopping here. The grounds are beautifully maintained with sculptures to look at as you wonder through the grounds. The restaurant provides good food and tasting of there locally produced schnapps and gins. You can allay buy bottles of their award winning liquor.
Schnapps were too sweet. Food menu was limited though veal schnitzel was pretty satisfying. Focaccia bread was a bit if a rip off. No tours of distillery. Remember to play fetch with the friendly resident dog though!
I arrived before opening time and was invited to enter the shop and a restaurant by a very kind staff member. They have clean and decent toilet . I opted to have a coffee and linzer torte and that was superb cake and coffee experience! I purchased few bottles of schnapps and again, professional and very kind staff member took the box to my car. I took heaps of photos inside an interesting restaurant and outside. A cheery on the cake was a smoked trout I purchased; it was so delicious my guest and I devoured it just with bread and of course schnapps when I arrived home. Schnapps is very easy to drink with fruity aroma and soft taste. Sour apple liqueur is wonderfulI can only recommend the place for quality products and wonderful service. Will go back!
We got the cheese platter, the apple strudel and 9 schnapps tasters. Quite nice if you like sweet liqueurs. The pink lady, sour apple and peach were the nicest fruit flavours, while the butterscotch was dessert. Would recommend.
With no booking they were able to squeeze a table for us during really busy time! Very welcoming and with great attitude, we were very well looked after, enjoyed snacks and schnapps tasting. Definitely recommending!
