I recently purchased a load of Braidwood? hardwood sleepers, which turned out to be really poor quality - badly split, full of white ants and poorly sawn. About a quarter of them simply couldn't be used. Check what you're loaded up with before you leave the yard.

Purchased 14mm stone to make concrete, which contained a substantial amount of mud from their road. Tried their conmix next time, this ended up being a recycled product which contained wood chips and contributed to a poor quality finish of my slab.
