Contacted LG re washing machine warranty repair.Job was given by LG to this business, they did not call out to look at the machine.They rang said the fault was not covered by warranty also said the warranty was over and from now on charges would apply. Having been in the service business I understand that you can diagnose a fault without seeing the appliance but it was the rude aggressive way the message was delivered to the lady of the house. The next day I rang to check if she had the message correctly and got the same aggressive treatment by someone who obviously was not a people person. There is not much more I can do about my warranty repair except complain to LG which will lead nowhere. I suggest don't buy LG and definitely do not ring these people unless you want a fight.
I give Wholesale Appliance Supplies, Acacia Ridge, Brisbane two stars: one star because if you ring about a repair, you do speak to a human almost immediately; one star because the technicians turn up when they say they will. The good experience ends there. I approached WAS because they are LG-recommended repairers in Brisbane. They are expensive: a call-out fee of $105 & $30 for every 15 mins labour thereafter, parts extra. They might be OK if your problem can be solved easily. The difficulties arise when your problem can not be remedied easily, as I found out. I have had 4 different visits by 2 different technicians with 3 different replacement boards all seemingly faulty. Technicians seemed reasonably knowledgeable & helpful, but could not get assistance apparently from WAS Technical Support. Getting a receipt from these people is like getting blood out of a stone! They have your email address, but somehow can't manage to email a receipt to you ...! Ian in Service Repairs is offhand, bordering on rude when you challenge him, as I did. It's been more than 5 weeks, I have paid a few hundred dollars & all WAS technicians have actually done is replace an $11 hose & my washing machine is still not working!! Ian indicated to me that there was no further information on my Service Report from anyone so that sounds like no-one is even trying to solve my WM problem!! & that he would be in touch with me when there was an update. Ian needs an attitude adjustment - or he shouldn't be working in customer service! I don't recommend this company for washing machine repairs. Oh, & to add insult to injury, they charge you a credit card fee even when you use a debit card - as if they didn't already charge like wounded bulls!!
I read the reviews first but had no choice to engage them as they were LG approved Technicians. - Appointed them for Visit and Assessment, responded within 48 hours. - Provided Assessment Report and Recommendation within 24 hours of visit. Fee is slightly higher than some but had absolutely no problem from beginning to end and their Admin person, Rachel... what a pleasure to have someone who understands customer service. I absolutely recommend Wholesale without reservation!
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY Definitely need an option to give zero stars as one is just too much. Where do I start... my LG washing machine started making a noise, item still under warranty, so called & lodged this with company where purchased. Received a call from Wholesale Appliance Supplies. Two repairers attended, unable to find issue, when asked, where we go from here, was informed that “we’ll just start replacing parts until we find the problem”. From this call out, repairers then ordered a couple of parts to start replacing. Between them ordering & coming back out, I video recorded on my phone, the noise it was making, what part of the cycle it was up to, time left etc, so they could see and hear what was happening. Repairers were shown this upon returning with previous parts ordered. Now they have changed their minds in what they “think” it may be.. Off again to order a clutch. Return again, fitted clutch to machine. Whilst being here, fitting the clutch, they lent the machine right back & broke the machines drain pipe. Did not say anything at first, water noticed on floor, asked if that should be there, repairers replied that’s normal, just excess water... More water on floor, mentioned again, now they come clean, that they broke the drain pipe & that’s where the waters coming from. Pipe was not able to sit in how it should, do they disconnected & turned pipe around and had to fit it opposite to what it should be & had to have it just hanging over sink. Asked if the machine was usable until they could come back the following week to fix the pipe.. Yes, was the answer from repairers. Put a load in the machine and started as normal the following day after they had been, next thing water coming out from under the machine on left hand side not from drain pipe & a god awful noise coming from inside it somewhere sounded like a metal bar being run across a pool style metal fence. Stopped machine straight away, tilted machine back to see where water was coming from took photos and videos of everything. These “repairers “ have actually put a puncture hole through the bottom of my machine & obviously haven’t tightened something up or left something loose in the machine hence the terrible noise. My husband and I then had to manually drain the water from machine as it could no longer be used! Got straight back on to company where purchased with warranty, explained damage & everything these guys have done. Emailed all evidence through to them & have actually just had to have the whole machine replaced with a brand new one due to the damage done! Our machine ended up with more problems after this companies repairers touched it, then when we first started.. From initial phone call to having it replaced was over 30 days. DO NOT use these muppets! DO NOT let them at your appliances. Absolutely terrible. Never again will they ever touch another one of our items.
Strongly recommend NOT using this company ever. Took 3 weeks to fix my washing machine but told the manufacturer they had repaired it a week before. Not once did this company call me to give me any update on what was happening on my machine parts, or any updates at all. Was me having to call them to follow up and was made to feel like I'm the one inconveniencing them. Even when requested by the manufacturer to call me to confirm they definitely were coming out, they couldn't be bothered to even do that. Update on this review. The repair that this company supposedly did only lasted a week. So waited 3 weeks for them to repair it for the repair to last a week. Just proves they didn't have to wait 3 weeks for the part a new part wouldn't have only lasted a week. AVOID AT ALL COST.
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE SCAMMERS. Got scammed for $140. I inquired them regarding a fridge door reversal. I was first informed by both LG and Wholesale Appliance Supplies that it was not covered under warranty. That was all good, I thanked the girl at Wholesale Appliance Supplies for the quote and decided I don’t want to pursue it any further, and hence never called them back To my surprise, a couple of weeks later, Wholesale Appliance Supplies started to chase me down on the phone. The girl on the phone said they got a request from LG about the fridge reversal. I repeatedly asked her if this the door reversal is covered under warranty and for free, and she said it was. So I decided to go ahead with the service. I wouldn’t if it would incur a cost. A while after the service, I got an invoice for $140. I called them up, and the man answering was rude and harshly deny that any of them would ever say that it was for free. Never. “They don’t do that". But, when I asked if he believed I was lying he didn’t think so. Doesn’t make sense, does it? I offered to meet halfway. No dice. He said if I don’t pay the full amount he will send the invoice to a debt collector and will be even more expensive for me. I felt very uneasy. That’s customer service for you.
I agree with the rest of the reviews about the lack of customer service of this company. I don't understand why they can't give you a bit more time notice of when they are coming to fix the problem. They pretend you to be at home waiting for their call all day to tell you that they might be coming in two to 4 hours. It's unacceptable. I understand that they have jobs to do and you never know how long those jobs will take you but they also have to understand that people need to work as well so they have to find a way to make it suitable for both parties.
If there was an option to give zero stars I would. Appalling service received. Sequence of events as per follows: 1. Contractor visited site and identified issued with both my LG fridge as it was freezing over and Delonghi Gas cooktop not holding on. 2. Call out fee paid and service was great up to this points. 3. Had a call from the office 1 hour later after all paid for that the service technician that visited had resigned that day and moving forward "we" cannot service the gas repair as he is the only certified gas fitter and there is no replacement part available for the fridge which is 7 years old. 4. I called the service tech back and he advised that is not the case as measures have been put in place for a replacement which you would expect of a reputable company 5. I let it go for a couple of weeks expecting this be fulfilled and called up to find out the current situation with no difference beside now being able to repair the fridge after a long wait on the phone however they still could not repair the gas stove. I suggested refunding half the money as the stove could not be repaired. I was left with following response "our hands are tied and you will need to use some one else" this mean paying another call out fee and assessment. I paid for nothing and left feeling extremely disappointed and strongly recommend not using this company.
The most appalling service i've ever experienced.. It has been over two months now and our dishwasher still isn't fixed. The administration staff are nothing but rude and inconsiderate. They expect you to have be home constantly for parts to be installed, to only be given a 4 hour window when they 'might' come, and when they do it still isn't fixed.. The technicians seem to have no idea and leave the house in a mess and do not care to clean up after themselves. The technician even managed to take out the dishwasher and remove an important pipe underneath the sink, leaving me with no way to clean dishes as the sink leaks now! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
