Story

The story behind Wholefoods market Christchurch.
Business colleagues David and Lisa had a vision to create a Wholefoods market & health food store in Christchurch. They recognised the need for a store that covered all areas of high quality organic produce, health foods, vitamins & minerals, natural health and beauty as well as products for our customer’s specific dietary requirements, like Gluten, Wheat and Dairy free, vegetarian, vegan, organic and fair trade all in one store.
With a back ground and passion in the natural health industry Lisa set out to create a store that covers all these areas while offering an atmosphere that is a warm, friendly and a spacious environment for the shopper to enjoy.
The new store has been fully renovated to create an ambience that reflects our passion for the environment, with the use of recycled pallet wood throughout. We are passionate about New Zealand made and owned products and the environment so wherever and whenever possible we only source NZ made products and we support NZ owned businesses. It’s the environment, global footprint, health, nutrition and well-being of our customers and staff that are important to us. It’s the People that matter.
Wholefoods Market is located at 52 Riccarton rd. with plenty of off street parking for your convenience. We have a large range of fresh, seasonal organic produce, frozen products, dry ingredients and organically farmed meat and chicken. Take away barista made coffee, made from organic and fair trade coffee beans and using organic whole milk from a local dairy farmer.
