A zero rating best describes my experience there.... but had to give one star in order to post. I had listened to others talk about this shop in a negative manner and now I know why. This shop owner advertised a vintage shotgun on line with one price (not a 'too cheap to believe' price). I discussed the on line price with him on the phone and let him know I was coming in to look it over. Was ready to buy but owner would only quote the 'hang tag' price on the trigger guard as the selling price at $300 dearer and would not honour his advertised on line price for the same gun. I walked out of the store vowing to never go back. This after losing a days pay, the expense to drive 5 hrs round trip AND wait 20 minutes before he would acknowledge me in the store. The only other person in there was one of his mates jawing with him who was obviously more important to him than a customer..... I have no idea how he stays in business... Run hard don't walk away... Absolutely the worst dealer as another reviewer said.

Live locally. Been to this shop twice (when you can find it open,, despite advertised opening times). We felt like we were invisible to this bloke. Spent most of his time chin wagging to his mate in the corner, or eating. When asked about gun safes, rifles etc, it was obvious that he was not in the business to sell, as he was too busy interrogating us about whether we could buy in the first place. Oh, he did on one occasion stand up from his glued on position on his chair in the corner. We have had great service and sales from Bayswater Firearms, Ringwood East, Clayton Firearms, ANYWHERE but this store. Everyone I have ever spoken to about this bloke has the same opinion.

At the risk of the poor service I read from some of the reviews posted, I visited Whitehorse Arms and found the service to be fantastic. Phil was a gentleman and is a wealth of knowledge for an industry he is passionate about. Warning, ensure you go and visit the shop ready to listen and be given some great advice. He doesnt take kindly to time wasters, but is genuinely interested in helping people new to the sport. Give it a go!

Gday ,my name is Rob , I am a disabled person an unfortunate car accident that took me away from my passion of motorcycle riding . I have recently taken up target shooting and I can only take part in bench rest category because of my injury's. I found Phill of Whitehorse a very polite gentleman to talk and deal with ,first class . The item that I bought was at the advertised price and turned up with out delay and in perfect condition . Thank you Phill

I Love this shop, It's like a time warp. The owner is always polite and helpful, little extra thing can be done here.
