We are excited to launch the first frozen yogurt and Gelato store in Tasmania – White Cow. We are combining our two great loves, being cool and food, to create a unique line of mouth watering desserts. With a focus on seasonal/local ingredients and a sweet and savoury flavor profile (Mascarpone and Caramelised Figs, anyone?), we inspire to grow at a level where we can continue to surprise people with yummy and extraordinary flavours...
What’s in Gelato?
Gelato is made from milk, sugar and fruit. When you replace the milk with water, you create Sorbetto.
Most of our gelato are gluten free with the exception of Kinder Bueno and one or two others – tubs are marked.
Our sorbetto is dairy free, 99% fat free.
There is no egg in our gelato or sorbetto, unless marked.
Gelato is creamier and more intensely flavoured than ice cream. Why?
Gelato has:
* Less sugar
* Half to a third of the fat of ice cream: 7-9% vs 18-20%
* Half the air of ice cream due to a slower churning process....la dolce vita
