Thank you Rick who helped me refinance my home loa! I had previously tried to refinance to commbank and was left disheartened from that experience, but I went in one day with my partner who has a mortgage with Westpac with no intention of refinancing at this point and I explained my situation to him and he said he could make it work. I had unconditional approval within a week, whereas commbank took 6+ weeks to approve me for a lower amount and a higher rate than Westpac. Extremely happy with the outcome and would recommend a meeting with Rick to anyone who is considering refinancing. :
Having been dreading going into the bank to discuss a deceased estate, I was instead left absolutely flawed by the professionalism and empathy shown by staff member Joanne. The banking world can be a difficult landscape to navigate and a lot of the time unbeknownst to customers staff are under significant external pressure to perform. Rather than pass the buck pun intended, Joanne took ownership and in all honesty, her customer service was the best I've ever experienced in a branch anywhere. By the time I had returned to my car, I felt a significant weight had been lifted thanks to Joanne's efficiency and excellent interpersonal skills. Team members like Joanne are an asset in any type of business and I hope Westpac realise how lucky they are to have someone of that calibre onboard. If I was still running a business, I'd absolutely have tried to poach her. Thank you once again Joanne, I really appreciate your assistance.
I would give zero stars for customer service if I could. Mature blonde Lady at teller was extremely rude, lacked competence, patience and was very arrogant. Constantly spoke over me when I was querying a security issue on a card. She then stated to take the matter to VCAT and it was not the bank’s ‘problem’ which was extremely inappropriate and irrelevant to my query. There are no excuses for rudeness and a lack of respect, this particular employee should not be in this role given the lack of basic customer service skills, respect and due diligence.
Such a great experience, Come in to order a new card and was such an easy and quick process Was looked after straight away ! And Renee who helped me was so nice and very helpful!
I had an appointment with Renee Thompson, to open an account for a grandchild. She was absolutely wonderful the way in which she treated the 3 of us attending. She was wonderful explaining to my grandson how the account would work for him. She is a great asset to the bank and we found the other staff members so friendly and very helpful. We had to first make an appointment which worked out to our advantage as then the bank staff have the time to give you. Thank you Renee. Frances Conyers
Went to this branch half hour before it closed. Was told they couldn’t help me because it would take longer than half an hour and they close at 4pm. It wasn’t a long task. The teller said was lazy and rude. Their banking hours are short too, so it’s difficult to do your banking there
Dropped in to our local westpac branch today to get a telegraphic transfer done. Must say this was easy as with no fuss, no hassle!! Debbie the teller was friendly, bubbly and professional, life made so easy.
Have my branch closed in Seaford which was the best in the area. And then went to my new branch in Karingal for the first time & is closed for what ever reason. West Pac looking after there customers as usual. Not happy
Just went into bank to open an account and bank funds, the concierge at bank couldn’t assist in case other customers came in, so she approached a teller who was talking and laughing with the other teller, no customers in the bank except me , the concierge staff member asked her to assist me and she told her to tell me to come back in 25mins, the teller continued her conversation with the other teller like l didn’t matter or exist, shocking customer service, a chance for westpac to get a new customer, l wonder if that teller works for westpac or works for herself obviously, l am not happy made a trip to this shopping centre only to open an account luckily ANZ staff were amazing and more than willing to help. It’s been 15mins since l was in westpac been to ANZ and all sorted and guess what just walk past westpac and tellers still chatting away no customer, my god how lucky they are to have jobs
