Living in this apartment brings me immense joy and satisfaction for various reasons. Firstly, its location is unbeatable, nestled in the heart of Melbourne, providing easy access to all amenities and attractions the city has to offer. Whether it's trendy cafes, bustling markets, or serene parks, everything is just a stone's throw away, making everyday life convenient and exciting. Secondly, the apartment itself is a sanctuary of comfort and style. With modern amenities, spacious rooms, and tasteful decor, it's not just a place to live but a haven to unwind and recharge. The panoramic views from the balcony offer a picturesque backdrop, especially during sunset, elevating my daily experience. Moreover, the community here is warm and welcoming, fostering a sense of belonging and camaraderie. From friendly neighbors to helpful building staff, there's always a support system in place. Overall, living in this apartment is a harmonious blend of convenience, comfort, and community, making every moment cherished and memorable
The location is unbeatable! I love being right in the heart of the city with everything I need just steps away. It's so convenient to walk to shops, restaurants, and cafes. So you can be proud to share and have guests/family over, topping it all is the fantastic location to the heart of the city which makes it so easy to get to anywhere for events, shopping, trains and exploring. We are very happy to be living in WSP as it offers so much and at a high standard, well done and keep it up!
We stayed in this apartment during our holiday.nUpon stepping into this apartment. We were greeted by an ambiance of sophistication and elegance. The layouts is spacious providing the utmost comfort and style.nnOne of the standout features of West Side Place we like the most is its unbeatable convenience. Situated just a stone's throw away from essential amenities, we could enjoy easy access to everything we need. The proximity to a train station and a convenient store, both within a 5-minute walk, ensures that commuting and daily errands are effortlessly taken care of. We could also reach the nearby bus stop within 2 mere minutes , provides further connectivity to the city's extensive public transportation network.nnBeyond its immediate surroundings, it also provides easy access to one of Melbourne's most iconic attractions. The renowned Victoria Market which is a mere 12-minute journey away, making it perfect for leisurely weekend outings and gourmet shopping adventures.nnIt sets a new standard for upscale city living. Whether you're seeking a lavish retreat or a central base for exploring all that Melbourne has to offer, West Side Place exceeds expectations at every turn.nWill definitely be back!
Been living here for over a couple of years now and loving every minute of it. So close to major hospitals, CBD, airport bus, trains and trams, shops and plenty of things to do.nnMy favourite part of our apartment is the balcony! Great views, natural light. Concierges in T2 are all gems. There are few AirBnB issues but I’m pretty sure all apartment buildings now have them. Merriment is also a treat. Close to Flagstaff gardens to walk our dog.
West Side Place is just an average building with many minor issues.nnStarting with the advantages: it’s conveniently located, with trams, trains, and buses all within a five-minute walk to the station. Across the street, there’s a small shopping center with a supermarket and pharmacy. Downstairs, there are shops including a barbershop, restaurants, and an Asian supermarket, so most basic necessities are easy to find.nnHowever, the building is on the outskirts of the city center. It’s still at least a ten-minute walk to the core area with the most restaurants and shops, not as convenient as the sales agents claim. So, the level of convenience is just acceptable, but not perfect.nnThe building’s facilities are decent but not exceptional. The cinema and karaoke rooms are basically impossible to book, so they’re more for show than actual use.nnAs for the downsides, there are many minor defects visible in every unit, such as small cracks, loose door handles, or faulty power outlets. There are also major issues. I’ve seen complaints from neighbours about poor sound insulation, waterfall-like leaks on higher floors, and loud noises caused by the building swaying in strong winds builder and developer and building manager do not take care of these issues.nnPersonally, I’ve experienced drafty windows, water seepage in the basement parking lot, and poor-quality windows that can’t be opened after strong winds, with window hinges coming loose. When I asked a window repairman, he said the materials were poor and not designed to withstand strong winds. He’s had to repair windows for almost every unit multiple times.nnThe water temperature fluctuates between scalding hot and freezing cold, making it impossible to take a comfortable shower. The building manager said this is a design flaw that can’t be fixed, and even the residents at the Ritz Carlton are suffering from the same issue.nnThe room sizes are too small—3m by 3m, which is the legal minimum standard. After placing a double bed, there’s just enough space to get off the bed on three sides, with no room for a desk or vanity.nnThe management fees are extremely high. A two-bedroom unit on a higher floor costs about AUD 1,000 per month. The developer holds the most voting power in the owners' committee, and it’s rumored that they have direct or indirect ties to the building management company, making it impossible to replace them. For potential buyers, I would advise you to be prepared for the hefty management fees.nnOverall, this is just a regular city apartment, or maybe below average, far from luxurious. Don’t expect luxury quality just because there’s a luxury hotel in the same complex.nn8/10/24 Update: The developer or BM attempted to shift responsibility to the builder, stating, “Your window’s stay arms were repaired on May 10th, 2023, as this was a legacy issue from the original builder.” However, the problem is not caused by the builder; it is an ongoing issue resulting from POOR QUALITY MATERIALS! To quote a comment from a window company that assists WSP in installing windows: “This is because they used basic pan head screws, and with the vibrations and repeated use of opening and closing the windows, this is, in my opinion, inadequate.” And my windows are NOT YET fixed.nnAdditionally, they did not mention the water temperature problem because they know it is due to poor building design and CANNOT BE FIXED! Water temperature fluctuations should be a concern, and you will not find this issue in other buildings, BUT YOU WILL FIND THIS IN WSP!.
