All the doctors are good here, but the reception is worst forever. I called prior attending and was advised no booking required. We came over and started waiting. After almost one hour, and was advised another hour to wait! Unfortunately, so many patients came after us have seen the doctor already that’s why we chased up. The receptionist has no patience at all, but not professional either.
The service at this place is absolutely ridiculous. Firstly, it is evident that they open at 9am, but because the only doctor that starts at 9 didn’t show up they opened at 10, leaving a decent handful of people frustrated & waiting. From then it kept getting worse and worse, I needed to see a doctor relatively urgently and this was the closest place to where I live, although, it isn’t where I usually go. I told the lady at the front it was my first time and I urgently need to see a doctor and she gave me an uninterested “no you can’t see a doctor you are a new patient”. I was visibly in a distressed state due to what happened and the lady at the front couldn’t have cared less. I promised her that I would NEVER return to this place and I can also promise that I will never ever recommend this centre to anyone, in fact I’d recommend they never go here as well.
The old saying "if I could rate zero stars, I would ". I have never left a bad review about anyone or any place, see my reviews. Dr Mehrdad Eshraghi, congratulations, you are my first. Firstly, you should have a read of "Good Medicine Practice: A Code Of Conduct For Doctors in Australia " if you haven't already done so. In a nutshell, booked in for myself at 5.30pm, then my wife for 5.45pm Wednesday 5th, April, 2023. The receptionists were very kind in explaining that there was some mix up with the online booking system, so there might be a wait. Fair enough, I don't mind waiting any length of time. I also run a business and I know time is always against us and appointments don't go as planned. After the patient before us left Dr Mehrdad Eshraghi's room, the good Doctor looked at us in disgust and went to reception. He then verbally lashed out at the receptionists that he doesn't want to see any other patients. I did over hear him complaining of a torn meniscus in his knee which was agrevating him and he needs to call it a day. The receptionists told him that we had a booking and waited patiently. He called my wife to his room. Within 1 minute, my wife stormed out saying that he is very rude and complaining about consulting us. Apparently he is doing us a favour. She then complained to the receptionists and they concurred that they have had a few complaints about him. I then went to his room and sarcastically told him that we were sorry to waste his time. He then called me back, asking me not to tell the receptionists that his grandmother had passed away. I didn't bother arguing that I had overheard him complaining of his torn meniscus as the explanation of him refusing to consult us. He tried to persuade me to invite my wife back immediately to consult us both. Obviously I refused, offered my condolences incase his grandmother's passing was true, and left. I don't know which story is true, the knee or grandmother, but whichever one it is, I do feel for him but that is no way to treat a patient, without knowing what their health issues are. Quite appalling Doctor. I can't comment on his skills as a doctor, he may be good?!
BE AWARE: there is a Dr. there Mehrdad Eshraghi is the rudest, most arrogant and disrespectful GP I have ever come across in my entire life.I would not recommend him as a GP at all. He started to yell at me because I asked him for a medical certificate. I was so shocked that I complained to the practice manager who luckily listened to my complaint and have promised to look into it. If you google his name he had lot of complaints from patients.
Avoid this place at all costs if you can. Wait time: Arrived 10 minutes before the clinic opened on a Saturday and ended up waiting over 2 hours for a walk in. Reception: Below average customer service. Doctor's consult: Arrogant, rude and rushed me out saying he has to see other patients. I was in there for less than 10 minutes.
I got seen by dr mehrdad Eshraghi today could of not had a better experience with him, he put my mind at ease about an ongoing issue and was warm friendly and extremely professional, just an amazing doctor.
• 5/5 - GP Quality Obviously dependant on who but mine is great • 4/5 - The new receptionist is amazing and super patient. The other one is not the most polite, but she gets the job done. • 3/5 - Only walk-in appointments are allowed at the moment, but once they introduce an online booking system, I'm sure that will make the receptionist's job much easier. Not sure if this will be introduced any time soon though. Details: At the moment there's a GP shortage and also many bulk billing medical centres are closing. Considering this, West Ryde Marketplace Medical Centre is doing great. It's the only bulk billing centre in the area aside from another Top Ryde one. Wait time is not the best - it ranges from 40 minute to 2 hours wait time sometimes even more from when you walk-in to the clinic and make a booking. My advice is to go early before opening time at 8am and wait in line outside the clinic. Otherwise, if you're not in a rush, you can just walk-in as normal. The doctor I regularly see is wonderful. She is extremely detail orientated and understanding and always takes the time to listen to my concerns about any my health. But to find her took a while. I visited around 3-4 other GPs in this clinic previously and only was happy with this one, so I guess it's all about personal preference and what type of care quality you desire.
dr kitto and dr jason han are excellent but where did you get dr van mai a rude dr who thinks because he has 30yrs experience as a GP doesn't make him a good doctor and he knows better than my cardiologist how to treat my condition he is a sadist and pathetic excuse for a human being with no compasion for someone surrering from pain.
Second time here. Although I booked online I still had to wait 30mins to get the doctor. Unfortunately they don't advise you if the doctor is running late.
I miss our family GP - Dr Chu Man Melanie Ng. We moved away from West Ryde two year ago. Melanie was there for us from the day one of our arrival and from when my children were born. my kids will be going to high school soon, and I am still searching for a good replacement . When Melanie was not on her duty, we would visit other doctors from the center. They were all always helpful, caring and skilled, maybe sometimes overcrowded.
