This place is what all local bike shops should be. I've always received great advice and servicing on my bike from Simmo, Jake and Wes over the years. I recently came to the shop to get my bike boxed up ahead of an extended tour in Europe, and the care that was taken in boxing up the bike went above and beyond what most shops would do. They went as far to cover practically the whole frame in protective packaging, reinforced the area around the rear derailleur, put a protective spacer on the front fork, and then put all the smaller parts in a separate small box. They even put a bit of tape on the seat post to remind me of where to set my saddle height upon reassembly. If you want this level of thought and attention given to your bike then West End Cycles is the place to go.
We hired ebikes for a day on our road trip holiday. The guys gave all round great advice suitable for non-regular bike riders. We had a great day exploring the country side.
Outstanding service and product knowledge!nBy shear chance, I made a phone call to West End Cycles, looking for a particular bike. I spoke to Wes who, after taking for a while, suggested that a different bike which was also considerably cheaper would be better for my particular needs.nWhen traveling through Wangaratta I called in to express my appreciation, and, also bought a bike.nTwo weeks later I made the 2.5 hour each way drive to pick up my bike. Wes helped with the bike set up, and made the transaction real easy, and an absolute pleasure.nI thoroughly recommend this shop.

My experience with West End Cycles was nothing short of perfect.nnI tracked down the last remaining model in Australia of a specific bike I wanted at West End Cycles. A quick call to the store confirmed it was still in stock, and they were willing to hold it for me. A week later, I made the 600km trip up from Melbourne by train, and was pleasantly surprised to be offered pick up from the station, and the bike was exactly what I wanted and in perfect condition.nnThey offered a quick bike fit, and got everything measured up so that the bike was ready to ride. They even walked me through care and maintenance. No detail was missed.nnThey even managed to track down some spare parts of my other bikes before I arrived to collect the bike.nnMy rating of West End Cycles:nn- Service 10/10n- knowledge 10/10n- Communication 10/10n- Friendliness 10/10n- Condition of bike 10/10n- Pricing 10/10nnHighly recommended. Oh, and on a side note for anyone who thinks the store is too far, the cost of a return rail ticket from Melbourne was only $10, and the train ride is very scenic :nnThank you guys!
