I often visit the Wentworth Hotel for casual business meetings or catching up with friends. The atmosphere is comfortable and relaxed, making it a good spot for a chat. The food is decent, though nothing outstanding. The bar could improve on service, as it can be a bit inconsistent. Overall, it’s a solid venue for a laid-back gathering, but there’s room for improvement.
We booked the Gazebo area for a family event and were really happy with how it all went. Ujjwal was organised and helpful with all of our inquiries, so organising it was very straightforward. The playground area was great for the kids, the food was good, set up was easy to coordinate, and the atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable.
Food.nWe ate the food it was very good. Very reasonable prices.nnRoomnWe booked a room. It was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. My partner and I saw a concert then came back to the room. The bathroom facilities are lacking. Dirty and need updating. The room was stuffy hot and very run down. I understand that this is budget but in this day and age we should have basic things like air conditioning. We ended up leaving at midnight and driving home to Maitland. I would not recommend to anyone to stay here.
This is a review on the food ONLY.nnIt's a lovely place with a nice atmosphere. They had a free face painter for the kids she was fab. The gate on the playground didn't lock so that was frustrating given there were a lot of kids in/out on their own free will. Food was decent however a few of us who had a share platter did get sick - this was the only thing we all shared so I assume it was this. Given what happened I wouldn't go back.
For a budget this is budget. Most the reviews reflect the food which was great as far as pub food goes but in regards to accommodation not so much. Don’t book in summer as they have no air conditioning in the rooms and you cannot open any windows. Regarding the rooms they are what you pay for which is a small room about a metre and a bit wider than the double bed in them. The food was good the stay was far from ideal.
