Upon being assured Websters had drums suitable for horse feed, my daughter purchased 3 x 44 gallon drums and several bags of horse feed. She paid for it all and arranged pickup of drums later in the day with a more suitable vehicle. I duly picked up the drums. The female salesperson was the most surly, unpleasant mannered, begrudging, cantankerous person I have ever dealt with - worldwide. Back home, my daughter loaded the feed into the drums. I looked more closely and saw the drums had a poison label on them. I googled the poison and it totally rendered the drums unsuitable, and dangerous, for any type of foodstuff or animal feed. HORSES COULD DIE. I immediately rang Websters and arranged to return the drums. I got my refund for the drums. I told them all the feed was wasted and would have to be discarded. I did not specifically ask for a refund for the feed but strongly feel it should have been offered. I will give Websters the benefit of the doubt and assume they sold the drums in total ignorance of horses rather than malice or unscrupulous dealing. They have no experience in, knowledge of, or have taken advice, on horse husbandry. This is dangerous behaviour when dealing with peoples, usually much loved, and often valuable, animals. An extremely unpleasant experience. I will never deal with them again. PLEASE - NEVER - EVER - BUY HORSE FEED DRUMS FROM WEBSTERS.
Good selection of garden supplies, have provided much helpful advice. Always friendly, with prompt delivery of soil, mulch etc. Happy to order in items on request.
Only lasted a year. Was owned by a builder, so expect the site to become a multi-unit development.
