Hands down the best Japanese restaurant in Cairns. Hospitality, drinks and food were all amazing. The chef clearly takes pride in what he does and it shows with the taste and detail in every dish. We enjoyed our dining experience so much we booked immediately for our next night, which was unfortunately our last in Cairns. Our only regret was not finding this place sooner. A must when in Cairns!
Highly recommend booking ahead because the space is small and doesn’t seat many people. They have a great menu with lots of classic Japanese options, such as sushi, Karaage, edamame. The food didn’t take long to come out, which was great considering they had a full house. The food itself is good quality, made fresh to order. It is one of the better options in Cairns. It didn’t particularly wow us but it filled us up and satisfied our craving for Japanese food.
Wow, what a great experience. The portion sizes were great, the food was so fresh and service was very attentive. We walked in without a booking on a Sunday and the accommodated our party of 3. Will be returning on our next trip to Cairns!
Delicious food, the specials were really good. Really nice atmosphere. Quite a few gluten free options, would highly recommend checking them out. They get really busy on weekends so remember to make a booking.Food: 5/5
Delicious Japanese Food with amazing friendly service. We visited 3 times on our recent trip to Cairns and can't way to go back. Staff are very Friendly and food is 11/10
Awesome Japanese in heart of Cairns. This place is super popular so reservations needed. We tried to go in on Monday night but they were full. Made reservation and went back Thursday. Very friendly staff, Japanese beer on tap, range of traditional Japanese. Had sushi, stewed pork belly which was sensational, KFC Karaage Frued Chicken, Japanese coleslaw and spicy wagyu Beef. YUM!
Gyoza was the worst I have never had. Its just not Japanese Gyoza frankly speaking. Sauce of waygy beef noodle is too strong. I saw good reviews and photos of delicious food about this restaurant then chose to eat here. But the food other people ordered/posted werent available. Service is good. Sakura cocktail and sashimi is nice. But I won't come here to eat again.
The food is always so fresh and delicious every time we come here. Service is also excellent and friendly. Highly recommended!
The cocktails are amazing, food is fresh and hot. Real japenese food. Dishes are on the smaller size but the taste and presentation is perfect. I recommend the scallops and the pork belly
Amazing atmosphere, really friendly waitress and great food & drinks. Friend had a Yebisu which is apparently very rare to find in Australia and I had the sakura cocktail, really tasty. Shared a Jumbo Roll, KFC Kaarage Fried Chicken and Agedashi Shiitake Tofu, all really tasty. You can see the chefs prepping the food at the open kitchen just behind the counter and the decor was great and eclectic. Will definitely go back there when I’m back in Cairns
