Locally owned and operated Building Company delivering quality and affordable homes for 40 years in the Great Southern. Specialising in personalised homes and commercial buildings.
When John Wauters and his father Maurice founded Wauters in 1976 they were carpenters with dreams of building a better future. For years the father and son team, who were both master craftsmen, had run a carpentry and joinery business with specialist skills in restoration work. But as the size and sophistication of building projects around Albany developed, Maurice and John correctly identified a need for a building contractor of substance to manage the work.
So Wauters Enterprises began, and the Wauters name soon started appearing on major building sites in the Albany district.
Since inception our company has earned a reputation as a family business run by people who are honest, capable, down-to-earth operators. Maurice retired in 1988 and John retired in 2011. Today, family tradition lives on with John's son Dean continuing the business.
Wauters has constructed an impressive record of multi-million dollar projects using state-of-the-art building and project management techniques. Yet at the same time the company remains true to its origins with a fully equipped joinery shop that practices traditional building craftsmanship. For this reason, Wauters is in demand for specialist restoration work on heritage-listed buildings.
The company also has strong links with a number of industry bodies such as the Master Builders’ association and the wider Albany community and has undertaken not-for-profit work for groups ranging from the Salvos to local clubs and schools.
Now, more then 40 years after Maurice and John Wauters first began building their dream, Wauters continues to build a reputation second to none.
