We ordered a piece of grilled whiting and it came with batter on it picture attached. The chips also felt quite stale in their texture, like they had been sitting around for a while. Also our other order had chips with chicken salt but we couldn't taste any salt on the chips at all. The whiting was unpleasant to eat as almost every mouthful contained bones, scales, and fins.
Had fish and chips from this place for the first time today. Brought back memories of salty chips wrapped up in newspaper. Great food. Service was good as well. Thanks guys
Under new Management, Now Pan’s Takeaway Prompt, Friendly and Fantastic service. $5 Butterfish on a Wednesday. Say waaaaaat! Decent size too.. Home made potato cakes for the win. Not soggy, hella crunchy. Cheeseburger was on a good ol regular sized bun, not the new small ones from maccas or brioche buns.
Best fish and chips I’ve had in a while! Batter was so light. Fish was fish…you could tell it wasn’t processed. Potato cakes are some of the best I’ve ever had and the tartare sauce was yummy!
Unfortunate first experience, appreciate it’s a busy time of year. My husband ordered a dinner for 2 with butterfish valued at $30. We opened the box and no butterfish, the main component of the meal. I tried to call and went straight to message on two ocassions. I would not normally write a review, however frustrated with the contents and cost. We all know food costs have increased but this was no where close to value for money.
I see in one of your review answers that you use "top shelf" chips stating that they are from McCains.... Surely top shelf chips would be freshly cut chips from quality potatoes done by you or a contractor. Anybody can deep fry McCains frozen chips! That's like smothering tomato sauce on Wagyu steak. Your a Fish n Chip shop and in my honest opinion Fish n Chip shops should be able to make and cook chips better than you could make at home.... People would travel far and wide for good chips.
A traditional quality seafood and chicken shop. Friendly staff serving up tasty fish and chips, hamburgers, chickens and more. Chips crispy on the outside and fluffy inside, just right. Fish cooked to perfection, not too oily. There's a range of fresh salads available. Convenient parking right outside the shop.
Read the reviews, which are mostly positive, so I thought I would give it a go. I’m glad I did! Just had ripper burger and chips, at an excellent price. Nice people and tasty food. I’ll be back for sure.
I had another Hamburger and chips from here today, my third visit. The burger was excellent as was the chips. The staff are first class and the shop is clean and has a really good vibe. Overall 9/10. "I'll be back!"
