I have fond memories of Waterford State School. There were 68 kids total in the school back then. 1961-1967. Walked from Loganlea across to Waterford daily. Had to be on the ball back then during flood time. The Logan River was spilling over the side of the bridge by about 200mm in the morning. The call was will I go or not? Frank Miller was the principle. I caught up with him years after, just before he passed away. Would like to catch up with the then Miss Freeney who married and became Mrs Hicks, I believe. Viv Bizzel who ran the local post office down the road was also my barber after hours of course. Wonderfull man. Saw him many years later as well. All quality people. Very fond memories, very fond. Still pass there sometimes. How it has changed. George van der Schaaf
