Food was good. Went the 7 course degustation menu and it was tasty. Some very surprising dishes came out but the flavours were always there. The presentation was flawless. Service could have been better, waitress did not explain everything properly so had to ask another one for more info.

Excellent food & the best range of nihonshu (sake) I've seen in Australia. Staff were very helpful. Lovely view of the Noosa River. A little expensive but worth it.

Amazing. Exceptional food and service. Rivals anything in a major city. Yes its expensive and after 11 courses not everything can hit the mark but the quality and care of everything presented is very special. From the unique wines (and Sake) to the handcrafted tableware and hand drawn menu everything follows the superbly crafted food. This is an adult meal for those who appreciate not just the refined nuances of Japanese cooking but also the skill involved in cooking at such a high level as well as the effort of growing their own produce. It was also wonderful to be led by a young, knowledgable and passionate female Sommelier.

Do NOT go with young children. We went with 4 adults and two children as a special occasion for a 40th birthday. The food is entirely unsuitable for young children, they could not even provide some plain rice when it became clear no other food was suitable. Further, we were charged full price for our children to sit there hungry. As an adult, there was some good flavours. One particular dish was absolutely delicious. However not the food, setting or service justified the arrogant attitude towards accommodating paying customers. To be charged $200 for our children to sit with us and sip one class of apple juice is absolutely disgusting.

Dining experience here is just amazing! Well created fusion food keeping the roots of good fine Japanese roots mixed with trending cuisine. The stag is very attentive and willing to make good recommendations and explanations! Decent wine and sake list!
