I found this station is really good but somehow today I bought 2 ways tickets to Birmingham and the lady who served me she seems fine. The thing is I don’t really get what she means and I asked her to repeat it and she did but with my poor English I was still not quite sure that I understand it so I asked again. She suddenly turning to a rude person by saying 9£ and pay it with the way she pushed or dropped the tickets .Wow ! I don’t like the way she behaves at all. And I said to her that I’m sorry that my English is not that good I d rather ask again to make sure that I get the right word than just say yes yes and I did not even understand. She lost her patience just less than one minute. Im sorry if you had a bad day with someone else or at home and don’t drop it on me. I was quite and even too polite.
Small station with only a few amenities. Automatic ticket machines. Lots of steps
Lovely train station and clean but it's not acessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs and generally the less able bodied as it has 4 flights of stairs on the opposite side to catch trains to Leamington spa. I was on my own with 4 children one in a Pushchair and found it a real struggle to get up the 4 flights of steps to reach that platform. If it wasn't for my 10 year old daughter being there and helping me up the stairs with the Pushchair then we wouldn't have made it and it made me think about wheelchair users and the less able bodied. I understand it's quite a small station but still there aren't enough staff to guide you or help you. I have only given 3 stars for these reasons but overall it's a clean station and beautiful.
The station is located in a good area, being a walk or bus ride away from the town centre and Warwick Castle. Step free access is only available for trains towards Solihull and Birmingham as the platform heading towards Leamington Spa is only accessible by a subway with steps. Healthy train service throughout the day and a ticket office is provided at this station.
Very very basic station. Ticket office is only open between 6am-12 midday, but even then you're lucky if anyone shows up. If you're going to Leamington/London/platform 2, and you have a pushchair, wheelchair or are physically disabled, then you may as well forget using this station as there's about 30 steps to climb to get to platform 2. There's a flat walkway to get to Platform 1 from the Station Road entrance, but if you're coming from the back way then you'll have another 30 steps to climb for that was well. The station does always appear clean and tidy, but I think that's because Warwick residents are clean and tidy mostly, not because anyone actually cleans it. There's a little shop, not sure of the opening hours, that's the only thing that brings goodness to this station as it's affordable and cute. There's 2 trains an hour to Leamington which is useless, that's if they're even on time. No ticket gates so anyone and everything is on the station grounds including chavs just to cheer up your Monday morning. I've also never ever in my life, 15+ years of using the Warwick to Leamington train, been checked for my ticket. I've never seen a ticket officer on this train at any given time of the day. The only thing stopping me from not paying is the gates in Leamington station which are *sometimes* open, whenever they can be bothered to be. Overall a very basic station that needs improvements.
Clean place. Good service . Correct signs to all needed directions . Strange opening hours - it seems to me that are depending on some train schedule : Monday to Friday: 06:25 to 12:55 Saturday: 07:00 to 12:45 Sunday: Closed Thank you for your assistance.
Lovely local station staff always happy to help
It's a lovely quaint town .. no night life..has some nice pubs and restaurants and of course Warwick castle which is beautiful .
4 stars for the location & well maintained.
