Some idiot drivers while heading in. But otherwise nice clean area, very relaxing nap on the Riverside and kayak. Most people are considerate and maintain the relaxed calm vibes. Wish I'd brought snacks
Huge park, great to walk along the river and under the shades. Saw an echidna on our way back from the blue tongue bend. Will definitely come back and explore other trails.
Came here on Christmas day. The carpark to the river is a short walk to the actual river. There's not that many spaces with shade however there are lots of flat rocks like a jaggered cliff that you can sit on under the trees singularly. On the other side it's a flat area with no shade that you can do picnic. A tip would be to wear beach shoes with strap as thongs or slides will break or wear an old sneakers as there's heaps of sharp rocks in the water as well as mud and they hurt when you step on them in the water. Overall was a nice experience. It got really crowded after lunch and we left when it got too noisy. There's also no toilets or none that I saw.
Big park, ripe for exploring! Not too much shade so bring sun protection. Great to see nature thriving, even if Kookaburras keep laughing at you.
Nice hike with moderate challenge. Good for beginners who are used to longer walks. Some incline but not overwhelming.
peaceful tracks with plenty of nature life surroundings. Open space, but still enough shades for walking tracks.
An absolutely beautiful spot for swimming, picnics and bush walks. Take your rubbish with you! Lots of wildlife around.
Nice park not too far from civilisation, with good access to the river. It’s a lovely place on weekdays when it’s all quiet, but it can get a little crowded sometimes on weekends, and when the weather gets warm. Plenty of wonderful wildlife too - we spotted a wombat hole near a picnic area.
Loved it here, family friendly, good shade and nature. Very short walk from carpark to swimming area!
Great park to stumble upon and a great place for a picnic and casual wanderings. he first time I've seen a live wombat up close. The wombat seemed cautious of people but unfortunately used to many families stopping for pictures. This womabt was hurt and a woman was calling it in.
