I ordered ahead told 20-25 minutes as it had just opened and it hadn't been started, BUT the food is SO reasonable to the extent I drive instead of going to the ends of my street to two fish and chip places. Foods excellent and fresh, place is clean, and staff pleasant. I haven't had fish and chips for decades literally until this find. It will be a sad day when this place closes or changes hands. Vegetarian options: Depending on the level of vegetarianism, there's plenty to choose from. Kid-friendliness: It's a fish and chip shop so manly take away but I've seen children there running around, being themselves and it wasn't a bother. Parking: I don't come from that area but have been more frequently because there's a great variety of affordable shops that you can normally get a park at straight away. Ordering a cab though is a nightmare, they can never find us. That was before we got our car recently and we've waited an hour and a half, twice now. With a wide older shopper going there this could possibly be addressed. Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, plenty of places to get onto footpath and a ramp to IGA, Dietary restrictions: Plenty of shops there to find something.
We have been going to this fish and chip shop for quite a while now and the last few times it has got really bad way to much salt put on the food we went good Fri and the potato cakes were so small and they want to charge $1.40 for them to get home and find out we were missing a piece of fish and 5 potato cakes. Owner said he would fix us up next time go in on Fri night to order lucky I asked for a receipt cause the snake went and charged us $17.40 for 2 potato cakes when I questioned it to ask for a refund he said no it’s right told him I wanted my money back after adding up how much a piece of fish costs and 5 potato cakes he tried to still charge me for them even though they stuffed up very dodgy we will be never going back there EVER he has now lost our business after spending $60 each time
Guess what? I live near by for nearly 30 years. Often buy fish & chips from this shop. Second time lately, I placed an order for King George Whiting More expensive than the other they send me which is Nothing But King George Whiting...!!!! May be they think pupil can't taste the difference...!!! ??? I WILL NEVER EVER AGAIN BUY FOOD FROM THIS MOB. Where are you the Real Gyros.... ???? We need you.
Food is good. Fish is tasty. Good potato cakes. Good servic, be great if the young people smiled more though.Food: 4/5
I just wish the fish was real flake, it isn't wherever you go. Only the Greek f&c sell real flake. The Asian f&c pass off something else as flake, just no comparison
Not sure what all these bad reviews are about. The quality and service, in my experience. I’ve been a regular for 3 years and they’ve always had very friendly staff and delicious fish. I always get tub of their “secret mayo” it’s more like a burger sauce to dip my chips and potato cakes in - it’s delicious!
Second time we have been here. First time was okay. Tonight we had the worst fish and chips of all time. Spring rolls and dim sims tasted and felt off. Fish was tasteless and seemed to be mostly batter. Chips tasted old and had zero salt on them. Total waste of money. There was 6 of us eating and about 75% of the food remained uneaten. Very disappointing. Will never return.
Great service! The staff are always friendly. The fried chicken burger has made me a regular. Sometimes they get busy, but it's worth the wait. If you get the chicken burger be sure to add an egg and some bacon *chefs kiss*
Great FishChips. Formula 40 oil is more healthy and more tasty than the oil before. The oil is recommended by William angliss!
First and last time. $19 for a tiny container of "gyros" chicken. Took 20 minutes to prepare and chips were stale.
