Would’ve sat here for longer if I had the time to. There were lots of reading chairs and sofas interspersed through the shelves, with kids and young adults sections, and apparently free computer classes too. There’s also a shelf for the book holds ready for collection
No longer just for books but now more of a community hub for all-comers, back packers, kindergarten activities, digital help,social English and te Reo language classes Lego club, singing, art , chat coffee groups, knitting ,writing classes, debates and lectures/ talks such as Solar power Korero, sale of cheap second hand books but, not all at the same time . And lots of unwelcome noise! Don't we already have a community hub alongside the Anglican church?
Cute little library, nice and helpful librarians. I sat working on the community puzzle for a few many hours and listened to them patiently helping every patron with everything they needed, going above and beyond. Lovely. Outdoor seating area no outlets. Community knitting and puzzle project. Sensory/autism directed kits available. The laptop/work space is a bit dense, but there was space when I was there. I think free wifi has 120 or 180 minute limit.
Lovely little local community library, nice vibe. The free WiFi, community section crowded though!
Very loud environment, including staff who were chatting loudly. Unable to find a quiet area as there was no seating to be found. The only seating was near a “no technology zone” which myself and those sitting next to me were kicked out of, which is silly considering the racket the employees were making in a library which should be a place of quiet and respect. Very disappointed with this library.
