I visited Wanaka Lavender Farm with my daughter in January 2017. It was the most charming place and I could have spent the whole day there. It was very clean and tidy and the lavender was in full bloom. There is a $2 donation box at the entrance to the gardens, we paid but some just walked in without donating. It was an overcast day with a gentle breeze and smell of the lavender was just lovely. The rose gardens were very nice too...lots of colour. There's a beautiful little shop with a cafe. They don't mind if you take photos inside but polite to ask first. All the staff were willing to chat and are very passionate and knowledgeable about their products. I will definitely go there again on my next visit to NZ.

A nice place to stop by and relax while enjoying lavender ice cream. There is access to the lavender plants and garden which is very beautiful. We visited in November, so most of the lavender plants are not in bloom. I have never seen so many bees and bumble bees in one place! It is really amazing to be able to observe them flying around the flowers. The bees do not care about people, so it is pretty safe.

Just a fantastic place to go and relax. So peaceful. We tried one of everything on offer from the food selection just because we couldn't decide and we were just blown away. Cake, chocolate, biscuit, ice cream, tea, everything made with love and full of lovely lavender flavour. We saw chickens, the pig, alpacas, yaks, and plenty of birds! Fair warning though, there are innumerable busy Bees doing their good work about the place but they don't bother you. Absolutely worth a visit for a peaceful step into tranquillity. Highly recommended.

Very beautiful & organised farm. Besides lavender, there are rosemary, roses, veggies, a few furry animals & honey farming. Spent 2 hr here, more than stipulated. 😬 And they forgot my ice cream, I forgot too.

What a fantastic place and superb venue. I loved everything about it and have visited many times. Highly recommend it
