Great place for a good day out. Swimming, canoeing and stand up paddle boarding in the reservoir. Bush walking and mountain biking in the bush land. The only let down is the food from the cafe, below average quality. Bring your own foods if you can, get coffee and drinks only from the cafe.
Really fun! Not much area for sitting, but there is a roped of swimming area, and can venture beyond that for confident swimmers. Can hire kayak and standup paddle boards online bookings only, no in person. We went with the SUPs and it was really nice. Lovely area, definitely do again.
Fresh water lake that isn’t too crowded by tourists. Heaps of locals though. Fairly serene given it’s so close to the city.
Great walking track... gentle walk, to uphill climbs and downhill descents. Take water, and an appreciation for nature. Came across a goanna, various birds, colourful insects, deafening cicadas.. just loved it!
Here is a good place to spend couple of hours on weekends, you can choose one of the trails to walk, go for swim or even rent a gear to do kayaking. Don’t forget to take insect repellent specially if you are going there with your kids.
The place looks great for walking, swimming and kayaking. The mountain biking skills park and trails is an overgrown mess. Do yourself a favour and head to either samford conservation Park or gap Creek reserve for a more enjoyable spot.
My kids just love the little mountain bike skills course, there’s four different types form the littlies just learning riding to the speed demons. Lovely little undercover area to wait and water taps to refill bottles. Also a cafe onsite to grab a takeaway coffee or lunch.
It was great! Fun day out for the whole family. With lots to explore and do with many walking and bike trails to discover. Beautiful scenery and well maintained grounds to pic - nic on or simply sit and relax with friends. Cafe and Facilities also available. We will happily re - visit!
Beautiful spot for a swim, kayak surrounded by the bush.
