Story

Walford is a dynamic school offering a friendly, family-orientated environment where each girl is encouraged to be the best she can be. Progressive teaching and guidance are provided in state-of-the-art facilities to provide our students with the very best preparation to follow their future ambitions.

Our school is a vibrant community where learning is prioritised and lifelong friendships formed. Our campus is designed to facilitate positive interactions across year levels and to provide the sense of belonging and connectedness that each girl should feel with her school.

We were the first girls’ school in Australia to offer all three programs of the International Baccalaureate (IB) and the first girls’ school in South Australia to offer the IB Diploma.

More than 50% of Walford Year 12s consistently achieve a Tertiary Entrance Ranking in the top 10% of the state, and well over 95% of Walford graduates go on to University. Our class of 2013 included six students who received the maximum ATAR of 99.95.

Walford warmly welcomes students from ELC (boys are welcome to attend ELC sessions) to Year 12, including boarding and international students.

We brought our daughters from a top tier co-ed school in Middle School. The opportunities for the girls to be seen and heard, have their ideas validated and find a voice has been astounding. They're surrounded by girls who lift each other and aren't embarrassed to have a go. The Space camp and rowing program are especially impressive.
Horrible school that does not meet the basic rights of human needs. It is being said from students that it 'feels like a prison' and 'it feels trapped' whilst attending. The basic right to leave and meet with friends for a normal hang out is shattered upon the 'school rules', which is to fill in a leave form every time you decide to go out, with adult supervision. Teenages are responsible of themselves of where they're going, like eat, hang out, etc. If a student commits wrongdoings, an adult is not going to stop anything. However, it is clear amongst students that going to a school like this has given them great anxiety and overwhelms, the reason given that for it's such preposterous rules. It is ridiculous to try and trap children in a building for the sake of their 'education' when it's unnecessary and with no reason except the excuse of safety. Life is all about risk taking. It is impossible to reduce the amount of risk taking, because that's decided upon the person. These school rules not only fail to save students, but also potentially misleading them in life even after graduating. I encourage to not send your child to this school if you wish your child to have a normal life.nnThank you,nWriter.
Specializing in female education, kids will learn to love deep, to adopt fast , to dream big, to pursuit hard, to teamwork rapportly, to respect human being.etcnBest teaching staff from ELC to School in Australia, especially when education and knowledge are priceless that even paying million of dollars are still worth the effort.nBeing a father of 2 little ladies, this is the best place for their schooling, I already could forseen their future of being successful in their worlds.
Worst school ever….nWould definitely NOT recommendnnI’m am a stepfather to an ex student. If you had taken more interest in our daughtern1- she would still be theren2- you would know she’s my step daughter
Some of the staff such as Madame Jarema and Mrs Beattie are great, however, the students are very snobbish and arrogant. I joined this school in 2014 and graduated in 2016 and I found it extremely difficult to make friends - they were unwelcoming and didn't want me to be a part of their group. I felt ostracised the entire time I was there by the students. I was better off at a co-ed school to be honest.
