As a local I don't go here near enough, but as I had a friend in town we went along. The exhibits are well laid out and I found some really interesting information about my own city that I didn't even know before! Well worth the visit. Took 2 hours just to get through one level.
Fantastic view of local history and art. Amazingly freindly and helpful staff. The building and river walk are great.
A must see if you come to visit Hamilton! Totally free of charge, and they have a lot of history of the city here. Completely recommend to come to the Waikato Museum, especially with family.

What a beautiful local Museum. Some really good art and some great artifacts relating to the local area. Recently revamped and they have done a superb job.
Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Loved that they have activities for children to do whilst looking through the museum. Our children really enjoyed the Kids Innovations and Inventors area- lots of activities for the children to interact with!
love it here great place to visit I recommend highly to family or singles a trip back and forward in time ,,
