Arriving is a serious WOW moment! Breathtaking location with stunning views. Exactly as advertised but so much better seen live. Perfectly set up for whatever activity or relaxation appeals. The beautiful, secluded, sunny beach is a five-minute walk; another, similar stroll in opposite direction. Excellent kitchen, barbecue just outside. All bedrooms have unique views and are quiet and have excellent blackout curtains. Two have outside access. There’s a path with steps on the sea side of the house, giving easier access to the lower parking area than the very steep driveway. Very short, easy stroll to the beach. This was a perfect venue for six adults. Everything worked perfectly and we loved our stay.
Loved Treetops Forest Retreat. 100% relaxation in a beautiful, quiet bush setting, just the birds to enjoy from the generous deck. Lovely, clean and spacious house, and a short walk to the beach for some great swims. We would very happily stay here again.
Villa Topaz is a very homely, immaculate 1 bedroom cottage, very well equiped and maintained, with a delightful sea and beach view. A generous deck with view as above for sundowners. Quality linen and bath sheet sized towels too. Level path to bar, restaurant and pool. Central to the best beaches, restaurants, wineries and bus stops at end of the driveway. Waiheke is a very unique place with a lot of character, incredible coastal walking tracks, gourmet food. Enjoy.
Fabulous location, great hosts, comfortable bed, lovely continental breakfast. Quiet with a great view. It was our 30th wedding anniversary and we couldn't have picked a better place to celebrate. Highly recommend.
Just disappointed unfortunately as the view and where the resort apartment was really was beautiful - We had just flown in from Australia, with 2 young kids, the room was meant to have been ready by 2 pm as advised to us, and after only arriving after 2:30 pm, the room was disgusting and had not been cleaned. The beds weren't made, we had no porter cot for our baby as promised, the toilets had pee still in them and some on the floor, with rubbish and rubbish bags simply lying on the floor. The manager or room owner blamed the cleaners, which just showed a lack of responsibility and professionalism, as they weren't advised of a late booking prior to ours unfortunately. Due to this, we had to leave the room and go to a alternative resort where we had family staying so that we could clean up and get our baby to have a nap, just a real unfortunate convenience after a long trip getting there. Communication was poor between management and cleaners and eventually with us as well, no complete understanding of what a guest could do to do the basics like throwing rubbish away or cleaning/washing towels and doing laundry. Being more aware of the resort’s surroundings, as a small family, simply being informed that using a pram isn't easy and that there are a number of stairs to navigate would help decide whether or not the resort was best suited for us.
We booked and paid for a holiday home through Waiheke Unlimited for Easter. They contacted us on the Monday before Easter to cancel our booking. Whilst they were sorry they did nothing to put it right. Also we noted that they had advertised the home on Air B n B for more money after they cancelled our booking. We ended up getting exceptional service from Stay Waiheke who went out of their way to find us a place to stay and rescue our holiday for the same price. Do not use Waiheke Unlimited!
Waiheke, and especially Onetangi, is a true slice of paradise. At times I feel I want to keep it a secret but it is too good not to share. It's generally a couple of degrees warmer than Auckland and a wonderful spot to visit off peak when you get more of it to yourself and get to enjoy it like the locals.
Would highly recommend this house, it was so beautiful and impeccable. Perfect for a ladies weekend away.
Very comfortable well appointed accommodation with amazing views, Waiheke Unlimited awesome hosts but overall experience let down with building and construction noise all through the day from villa right next door.
In love with this home and all that comes with it, The view from the balcony was amazing. They allowed us to have an extra friend and it was super clean with everything that we needed. My partner loves the master suite bed, Thank you!
