Good foods and nice atmosphere but can be pricey. Wagaya offers a variety of Japanese dishes from raw sashimi to deep fried dishes. The sushi is of high quality and is definitely something you have to have when you are here. Some of the cooked dishes are not as great though. The ox tongues, deep fried squid and salads were disappointing. We ordered some chilled teas and they were authentic with very little or no added sugars. Tea drinkers will definitely enjoy them on a summer's day. We booked our own private room and it easily sat 18 people. The room was nice and we had our own speakers to play music via aux. Finally, it cost about $50/person for a large variety of dishes and drinks. There are better offerings out there but Wagaya is still worth the try.
The food is good. The place is nice. I always want to come here just because they have very private seats for two compare to other noisy places. Service is good too. But the menu is old, they need to update it regularly.
Food was mediocre. The sukiyaki was quite tasty but the gratin had little taste or insufficient seasoning. The skewers were ok and the excessively tempura oily. Service was slow and a bit aloof.
Been here several times last few years. Menu hasn't changed much. Fun ordering off touch screen. Fried food and hand made rolls are a must!
Really enjoyed dining at this place. Plenty of booth seating, computerised order system which lets you order at will & dangerously add more! Friendly & efficient service and delicious food. I always enjoy good sushi & sashimi but I love the various skewers even more here. Yakitori, pork, beef & scampi are some of my favourites. I also love their hot pot, especially in winter or when you want something comforting. Its just that and loaded with lots of vegetables in a flavoursome broth. Great place with family or friends.
Pricey Japanese food for small portions. It's convenient to order dishes by touchscreen but you have a long wait ahead for food.
Name of the restaurant has changed. A few key items not on the menu like Wagyu Beef skewers and ikayaki. Our tempura came out dripping with oil and some of the veggies without batter. Lastly our desert came out with plastic spoon. ‍ a bit disappointing as we have been coming here for years. pros: sushi was decent, chicken karaage.
One of my favourite Japanese Izakayas. Delicious food, fast friendly service, high tech touch screen ordering experience. Always busy in the evenings.
They changed name to You Me and the food tast not like before. The vanue is dark and need to renovation toilet so dirty no staff to clean it!!!!! Went there with my family for their last meal before they leave Sydney. Terrible experience. Wont come back anymore
We always come here for birthday events with a lot of people so we end up being in the private rooms. You order all your items from a screen on the wall which is not situated in the best spot. Would be handy if it was portable so you didn't have to rely on the people closest to it for a simple drink. Also, they don't have a glass/jug of water on the menu, you have to ask for it from the staff. The ox tongue and sushi are the highlights. We always order it. Only downside is that the place is quite run down and the bathrooms are always dirty.
