I just moved to this Medical Practice recently, I was looking for a doctor who truly cared about my health and didn't treat me like a number as I had been use to with a number of different medical conditions including woman's health, diet and CPTSD I have struggled to find a doctor that could help . I now see Dr Tan who is extremely thorough and takes the time to not only listen but carries out thorough investigations I haven't had a good doctor like this for many many years, I'm so glad I was recommended this practice and Dr Tan it's a huge relief. I would also like to give mention to the wonderful, friendly receptionist there Tanya, what an absolute Gem her professional and friendly approach is outstanding in the few visits I have had so far she has always made me feel comfortable and at ease this makes a huge difference her follow phone follow up's etc are a breath of fresh air, keep her onboard Vitalia you don't get many front desk professionals like her. In terms of wait time my appointments have been on time but do understand if there ever is an extended wait because the appointments are very thorough which is a small sacrifice to make if you want in depth medical help/advice/referrals etc as apposed to a tick and flick get you out the door approach to your health care.nThank you Vitalia you have restored my faith in Health Care you are definitely up there with the best!nnHighly Recommend!
I took my son here for a health assessment. There were two negative impressions from our visit. The first was the half an hour we waited after the start time of our appointment for the GP to be ready. Is making patients wait a half hour normal? Second the assessment might have been incomplete. Why do I say this?nWhile I am not an epidemiologist there are some features of illness that indicate a rational course of action: If you have a viral infection there is no need for antibiotics. If there is evidence of a secondary infection then there might be cause for antibiotics. Prior to attending he took a RAT and the result was negative. After the consult I asked if the doctor had said anything about antibiotics. My son told me that we were to go to a pharmacy and get a RAT test. We would also test for a specific rhinovirus and for influenza. When we attended all that we needed was 1 a formal acknowledgement of his illness 2 a script, should the GP feel it was warranted, for an antibiotic such as amoxycilin. Such a penicillin antibiotic might assist with overcoming a secondary bacterial infection. Now, I was not in the consulting room with my son but I would venture that there was almost no point attending the surgery today. Aparently nothing was said about antibiotics to deal with the green / yellow phlegm. This seems to be quite an oversight. We are not likely to return to this surgery.
Visited last Friday at 10.05 am for my 10.15 booking and got in the doctor’s room at 11.13 - surprisingly disappointing. I was told that there was an emergency with a patient before me, which can possibly occur once in a while and is understandable to some extent, but this case was not within that extent. Yes, it may not have been their fault but this can NOT be right, keeping their patients to wait for an hour who made a booking in advance and arrived on time. My plans got all delayed after thanks to this. Although I was indignant last week, I wasn’t going to give them one star until I found my symptoms got worse after following the Gp’s instructions. Based upon the former reviews below, I see I’m not alone but proving the point that here is definitely not recommendable. So frustrating that I wasted my time as well as money there and also have to find another Gp.
Dr Tan is amazing, diligent, caring, and goes above and beyond for her clients nAll the staff are helpful and welcoming, brilliant health care, Thankyou!!
My experience with Dr Tan has been a good one, as she is kind, compassionate and takes the time to investigate issues fully. This does mean that the practice often runs behind schedule by 30 or more minutes.
