A beautiful modern lounge - much newer and better presented than Sydney or Brisbane lounges! Friendly attentive and smiling staff. The pumpkin soup is consider and tasty. It would be preferred if there’s some other array of hot food but nothing is perfect!!
Clean and modern lounge, the same as other virgin lounges. However the offerings is absolutely atrocious, no spirits or beers on tap. The best thing about the lounge is the super friendly staff
The first in Virgin Australia’s new concept of airline lounges, it was particularly convenient to partake in this lounge given my flight to Sydney ended up being delayed almost five hours! It was also particularly pleasing to see a self-serve buffet reinstated inside the lounge, with barista coffee and self serve snacks. Unfortunately, the new direction of the airline seems to have also meant some catering cutbacks. The stews and stirfrys of old have been replaced by mini calzone that were obviously baked from frozen. Despite that, the soups were delicious, and the decor was modern and inviting. Can’t wait for my next visit!
I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Adelaide Virgin Lounge once again, and I must say, the improvements made since my last visit were nothing short of remarkable. It was like stepping into a whole new world of comfort, convenience, and elegance. One of the most significant improvements was the expansion of the lounge. The previous layout felt a bit cramped during peak hours, but this time, I noticed a much larger seating area. The addition of more comfortable seating options, including plush armchairs and spacious sofas, ensured that every guest could find a cozy spot to relax before their flight. Moreover, the service at the Adelaide Virgin Lounge had noticeably improved. The staff members were attentive and friendly even though they weren't able to assist me with the usage of one of my "free upgrades" The dining experience was another highlight of my visit. The selection of food and beverages was not only extensive but also of great quality. What impressed me the most, however, was the attention given to technological advancements. The lounge now offered high-speed Wi-Fi throughout the entire space, enabling seamless connectivity for those who needed to work or stay connected. Additionally, the addition of charging stations and power outlets at every seating area was a thoughtful touch, ensuring that guests could easily charge their devices. As I reminisced about the old Adelaide Virgin Lounge, it was clear that the transformation had been nothing short of extraordinary. The previous space, though functional, paled in comparison to the new lounge. The enhancements in design, spaciousness, service quality, dining options, and technological amenities made my experience truly memorable and elevated the overall travel experience. Unfortunately I didn't take as many photos as I usually do as it was quite busy at the time!.
A good lounge, but usually quite busy. Food changes regularly, there is a good range of beer, wine and soft drink, tea and coffee. Seating is comfortable and the lounge is clean and tidy.
I love this lounge. If you're hungry and/or tired you need to come here for your layover. Mine was a 4 hour stop between Sydney and Alice Springs, and is totally worth it to spend it here
The decor in this lounge is fresh and inviting. Not over the top with glamour but airy and inviting. Nicer than the Virgin lounges in Melbourne and Perth for sure. Main downside is the size. The lounge is not very large and it was fully occupied when I was there. It could also do with more phone and computer charging points.
Smaller than the Qantas lounge at Adelaide Airport but still nice. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Quality and range of food options much better than when we last visited the Qantas lounge. I think Virgin have found some new loyal flyers!
Amazing front of house staff today. I checked in to the lounge for the time before my connecting flight. They identified that my next flight was delayed due to weather and then booked me on the Sydney direct flight that had been against my company policy. It’s time like this that reassures my faith in virgin and their amazing passionate staff that go above and beyond when it comes to supporting us tired and stiff travellers.
The Adelaide Virgin Lounge is spacious, airy and comfortable. Their lunchtime menu was varied and adequate. Staff were continually clearing and wiping tables keeping the lounge clean and tidy.
