Unfortunately Vinnies is not fun to shop at anymore. If I want to spend $220 on a 10 year old Pucci dress , I will go to a consignment store where items are curated and checked for flaws. Not yellow arm pits. Completely dissatisfied. It’s fun to find a Designer item at a thrift shop which is why people shop at them for under $50. No more here. I understand it’s a charity so the more money raised the better, but if the things don’t sell as I see the same high priced things every week, what’s the point?

Since the recent renovations, this Vinnie's is great. Much more organised and well designed, less chaotic and all over the place. The changerooms are also proper stalls now!

Vinnies employee today was extremely disrespectful. I didn't realise the bolero I was wanting to buy was $50 and not $5 and she said to me and laughed "yeah I didn't think a college student would be able to afford that". Completely and utterly disrespectful. Younger girl working at around 12:30pm, not the way you talk to your customers.

I’m very sadden by the demise of Vinnies, Newtown. No it is still trading but is a ghost of its former self. The store where you could always find something special. It is entirely different. Designer clothes. Nothing against designer stuff but Newtonians like something different. I have tried to find something quite a few times but have bought a brooch and a top just to stay loyal to them. The staff were so friendly and helpful but now it’s a skeleton staff. Very few customers which I know in some part is due to pandemic but also to the dramatic change to everything about beloved Vinnies, Newtown. Have been every now and again but afraid nothing has changed. It is just not me not to find anything and all the locals feel the same.

Was looking forward to visiting this store today but was disappointed with new layout and variety of items. Once this branch of Vinnies had a Newtown vibe with stationery, art supplies, overall an eclectic mix in harmony with a special area. Today I thought , nah, just another bland Vinnies you can see in any burb. . Please , a bit more artistic flair

Friendly, quality service from volunteers service. Well organised so you can find the type of goods you want. Reasonable prices. Bought a new Dr Who Tardis wallet for $5, retro, coloured glasses for $3 each. Many preloved luxe wedding dresses- for a budget covid affair or for crafty types to reuse and remake.

Bargains galore great place to shop friendly and caring staff

I always love to go here. Grabbed 2 pairs of Vans for 24$ ALTOGETHER here quite recently - 1 pair is well worn but still good and the other pair is almost new. That's a price you can't beat. There are soo many other super nice treasures as well - take a look inside and dig through all the stuff. There will be something for everyone. Especially because this Vinnies is one of the bigger ones. The staff is super nice too.

Really nice hipster clothing. However it didn’t have an air conditioning and it can get very hot in there. Also there is an afternoon rush where it gets packed with people. My card didn’t work the first time round because they didn’t accept it so I tried another card but forgot my pin. The staff got annoyed and told me to step aside while they served other customers. I felt the staff could have handled the situation a bit better  and been a little nicer since I spent $160 at their store . Finally I got the pin correct, the sale approved and their attitude completely changed to a nice one . Also the change rooms have a limit of 3 items I wanted to try on around twenty items and they couldn’t accommodate for this so I ended up buying a whole basket without trying anything on. Luckily the clothes look great on. Despite the rudeness of the staff the clothes are trendy great and good value :

I love going here to pick up glassware. Always cool clothes and bric-a-brac lying around, and I'll occasionally come across a $2 vinyl jackpot. Love the displays they put up in the window and the retro vintage costume selection.
