Worst vinnies I’ve come across for the “brand” price hike. How is this a “opportunity” shop when you charge excessively more for something with a brand on it. Forcing those with less money to settle for the lesser items. Great work creating a class divide in a donations store. Very applecross.
A bit expensive for what you a charity shop where things are donated, sometimes similar prices to a new item, but it is big shop, clean and well organised
This "opportunity store" is only there to help the rich , I mean $100 for a shabby denim jacket who on the pension can afford $100 for a very old and ratty jacket? I know I can't. Maybe rename the store from an OP shop to up market 2nd hand boutique
This may be the worst Vinnies in WA. Almost every piece of adult clothing is over $25, including junk brands like Boo Hoo. I saw a heavily worn pair of boots for $45 which are only $50 new from a budget mall shoe bazar. Really ridiculous. You can see the shoppers shaking their heads with eyebrows shooting up when they look at the price tags. Embarrassing for Vinnies really. Head to Freo where the op shops are amazing and much more fairly priced.
Used to love this branch. So organised and very nice finds... however, went back yesterday Feb 2022 and was shocked with the prices... $20 for a 2nd hand unbranded T-Shirt, really? $18 for a shorts?? Not going back.
Well laid out and very friendly staff but the pricing here is much more expensive compared to similar items at other stores. One of the few op shops I rarely leave with anything and sadly that's just due to overpricing. Head to Vinnie's Balcatta to continue donating to Vinnie's and a more reasonable price
Great op shop. Obviously it is pricier than other op shops, but the place is clean, organized and the products you find there would definitely cost hundreds or thousands of dollars if purchased anywhere else or wouldn’t even be available in Australia heaps of European brand names.
Bit more expensive than other op shops in the area, but some good finds today that were worth the $$, and the clothing is good quality/not worn to shreds. Staff are absolutely lovely, I'll definitely be visiting here again.
Very nice items, clean site, enough space and hooks in change room. Prices are all sitting ~$20 so it's not your super cheap second hand store.
This shop was great until they started pricing the no-brand T-shirts $15 to $22, now it’s not worth the drive to Applecross. There was a H&M tshirt that costs $9 new on sale at H&M, and Vinnies selling it for $15. Another one with a hole in it for $18. Please start pricing your clothes appropriately because not everyone can afford your prices. It’s actually cheaper to go to DFO and shop in the sales when your prices for T-shirts are so high and it also doesn’t encourage people to think of the environment and shop secondhand. Was a fan but unfortunately not anymore. Unfortunately Vinnies Applecross don’t make any apology for selling things at prices higher than if the items were new and still insist that they are charity when the staff inside refuse to adjust prices when asked.
