I had Roasted vegetable salad. It was supposed to have roasted beetroot, but was tinned. Very little pumpkin and mostly rocket and spinach. Soaked in dressing and soggy. Sprinkled with tiny amount of fetta. All I all, very poor. Very disappointing. But the coffee was extra good.
I had breakfast at Vines a couple of weeks ago, the food was the best breakfast I’ve had in Cairns. My mum is coeliac and they were very helpful. We also had a slice of the coconut pineapple passion fruit cake which was delicious. Highly recommend
It's a lovely cafe, lots of seating, some inside, on the balcony and outside in the garden. They have a lovely little gift shop inside too, and then after u can walk around the gardens and buy plants or garden ornaments.nThe food is so tasty and fresh. Very popular spot to enjoy by yourself, or with friends.
Beautiful location, some of our food was okay. Terrible customer services.nnI asked for butter for my toast and the lady behind the counter said they don’t offer butter because they use spray oil when cooking the bread. Then I asked if they had a high chair. They offered no assistance whilst I was holding my young baby. The high chairs were stacked behind the main door. Luckily two ladies who were eating their breakfast helped me.nnLastly, they forgot one of our meals. When my aunt went up to the counter to ask where her meal was, the three ladies behind the counter said she didn’t order it. Then they found the docket. They didn’t even apologise! When the meal arrived it was cold and slapped onto the plate with no apology.nnThis isn’t the first time we have received bad customer service from here. It’s such a shame because we are within walking distance to the cafe and the staff in the nursery are wonderful.
We were enchanted when we arrived. The place looks amazing, and the food was good. Until I found a HAIR IN MY FOOD. The chef and staff treated like it was nothing… What makes me think it’s a common thing to happen. And by the time they sent a new one, my coffee was cold and almost gone. Very disappointing.
