This hotel is a great place for eating and having a few cheeky drinks. Had lunch here Easter weekend. Great menu, solid wine choice and good, friendly service. Has a great view from Sellicks Beach to Adelaide. About 45 mins south of Adelaide straight down South Rd. Highly recommend it.

Fantastic Fish & Chips in the bar when we couldn't get into the main restaurant (which is always very good). Fantastic service too. A local favourite, with views over the bay.

Great food... great outlook... great atmosphere! Only criticism is that we booked a month in advance for 4 adults and a high chair and were only allocated a small square table which would barely allow enough room for all of us let alone for our expressive 2 year old. They weren't very apologetic however did accommodate us inside adequately, although we had specifically booked an outside table. All in all a lovely christmas experience with our family! Food can nit be faulted! Thank you

Upon arrival I could see this place was busy. I immediately lined up for a drink but ended up moving to the bar to get faster service. It was still about 10 minutes before I had the privilege to speak to one of the bar staff. Eventually I went back to my table to discover the specials menu was stupidly placed directly behind my seat, meaning I (and other of the table) had to move out of the way if anyone wanted to know what the specials were for that night. A slight inconvenience that is completely unnecessary, as there's no shortage of wall real-estate elsewhere. A short time after everyone was seated a friendly waitress kindly took our order. An hour later, at 7:40pm we still without any food. At this point we were advised that the table would need to be vacated by 8:10pm. The look of awe from around the table as we still had absolutely no idea when the food was coming was priceless. Was the food going to arrive at 8, leaving us 10 minutes to enjoy our meal? We had no idea. Progress on the slow food was not communicated to us at all. Shortly after someone else came out and advised we could stay as long as we needed... but the fact we were told this in the first place is unacceptable. The food eventually meandered out of the kitchen in a somewhat staggered manner. The concensus across the table was the food was average to good, but portions were small. Most people were still hungry after the main course. The pain was not over. A policy here is to not split bills. This caused our table of about 12 to panic as we were not sure how we were going to handle this in a post-cash era. Eventually we persuaded the staff to allow us to pay an itemized bill, much to their disdain. While casually mentioning to a friend how not splitting bills can be inconvenient, a staff member decided to try to argue the point and try to justify the rationale behind this policy. At this point it's irrelevant - if a customer says something is inconvenient, it probably is, and trying to argue the point with them is certainly not helping the situation. Overall I think this establishment is highly overrated, and I hope that is reflected with their patronage decreasing over time.
