We booked 3 rooms for us and a group of friends based on the reviews read here and the photos shown on website! All I can say is you are all on crack! I ended up sleeping in the car as the seat in our car was more comfortable than the bed in our room. It was as hard as rock!! The room was neat but I’m not sure how attentive they were or are based on the fact that the bed felt and could possibly be two base mattresses on-top of each other ? certainly not worthy of a good nights sleep which is why you book a hotel - to sleep somewhere safe and enjoyable - this is the actual purpose of a hotel room!!! A restful sleep whilst travelling!! I’m appalled at the expectation to pay for this kind of accommodation and with such misleading information on website!! It was actually like a construction site … rubbish everywhere and everything was in disarray… Also.. a shower would have been nice but there was no hot water !! I feel like if you are going to advertise a place that you charge people to stay at.. do not pretend that it is something that it isn’t!! Worst night ever in a hotel room didn’t even sleep in it and it ruined my night !!
Amazing little escape hotel. Even know theres a bit of upgrading to the hotel going on right now, it's still a rad place to stay. Special mention to Sammy at reception. She went above and beyond to make my stay amazing. Please thank her for me and see she gets the credit she deserves for the great job she is doing. Grant CarterRooms: 5/5
After seeing the reviews i thought I take a risk and book the hotel. Great location, great spot. The service was not great and unhelpful. Not very happy with The Lack of English, not helpful or professional good at the main desk. My bed was comfortable but I was very cold, there was a single duna with no duna cover, no mattress protection, no warm blankets, air conditioning was constantly not working. Hot water system was shocking and I kept having cold showers. I asked for more rubbish bags and never gave me anything. Omg the demolition was a nightmare and the entrance was a nightmare getting inside and outside. Every morning i was woken at 7am woken by a hammer banging, drilling and demolition on the front entrance. My shoes and suitcase was covered in mud, wet cement and dirt. It was a massive tripping hazard and the noise was insane. No restaurant or buffer for breakfast like it states. There was no cutlery, bowls, plates, microwave in the room. I had to pay for a huge blanket and cutlery plus bowls etc. Buttons in the lift don't work on one way, if you are staying in level 2 rooms good luck you will need to climb stairs. There's no excuse it's hard running a business and I understand that it's change ownership now for the 3rd time. But someone needs to look at this place and teach them how to treat also greet their guest, plus how to run a business. Good luck!!!!!
Very hard bed with kmart linen. Several parts of the hotel currently under construction. Someone grinding concrete at 7pm on a Saturday was a bit concerning. The towel was approximately A3 sized. Two tiny milks in the bar fridge. This was a cheap choice for a single night out, so I don't expect perfection and luxury but it feels like they've tried and succeeded to cut every possible corner.
Place was pretty cheap so I guess you get what you pay for... Room is quite old and run down. So although it was "clean" it didn't really feel like it. No windows opened and the place smelt like someone had been smoking in the room. Fire alarm was missing. Bed was as hard as a rock. Glad we only had a single night stay before moving on. Staff at front desk were friendly.
Luckily we had to cancel our booking this month April 2023 I contacted the same reservations email and the hotels direct phone number provided from their website, no response from the hotel. We continued to frequently call and finally someone answered the phone to be informed the hotel had gone into liquidation. We asked for the bookng to be cancelled in writing via our email address and they said a note would be left on the desk and they would reply no later then the next business day. We asked for it to be done immediately and they responded via email only minutes later. At the time of our booking in Mid March 2023 they were still taking bookings. Not sure how this will effect anyone staying in the coming days or weeks?
Currently under Reno works, rooms have been done up . Problem being the water pressure both hot and cold as there is virtually none. This needs to be improved. Bathrooms need Reno work to keep up with the bedrooms. Also please stop renovating after hours such as moving furniture around . Great location for city and Zoo and would stay again. Beds are a little firm but I'm used it
Walked into a dirty and untidy lobby, corridor furniture is old and shabby, cob web in the bathroom. The location was reasonable, very close to a tram stop but that's the only positive. Unfortunately cannot recommend this place.
staffs have great hospitality! they were totally helpful during staying even though cleaning staffs.location is good, you can go to Melbourne Zoo on your feet also can go to the City by using tram.
Look all I’m gonna say is, when you stay at a hotel there a few utilities and extra things you’d expect. Things like a working shower, shampoo and a comfortable bed. You won’t find any of that at this absolute disgrace of a hotel.
