Delicious food and such lovely service! I arrived on the wrong day for a meet up and so was « stood up » by my friend. The staff were very kind and helped me to try and contact my friend as I didn’t have a local phone card so I couldn’t call her. I ended up getting takeaway instead and chose the chicken and mushroom gnocchi. It melted in my mouth and was still hot by the time I got home. I’d highly recommend!
Fantastic pizza! Kitchen had a bit of a mix up which resulted in us having a bit of a long wait time honest mistake. Owner was extremely apologetic and gracious, offered to not charge us for meal.
Visited Via Fratelli on the way back to the city from Inverloch and was looking for a good pasta feed. Via Fratelli came up on a Google search, so decided to give it a shot - and so glad I did! The food was absolutely delicious: really tasty, flavoursome pasta in a thick, rich sauce, with a pleasing quantity of meat in the dish; a lot of places cheap out on the portion, or bulk it up with pasta, but I was so glad this restaurant was generous with the amount of meat in the dish. Please keep this up! Customers do notice the difference and they appreciate it! Service was really friendly and attentive, and it was obvious both the co-owner, Jonathan, and the head chef of the restaurant take a lot of pride in the quality of the food they serve, and are genuine happy to receive good feedback which, in this case, was totally well-deserved. I noticed they have a wood fire oven in there too, so will be keen to pop back again soon and try one of their pizzas. If you're anywhere near Malvern East, or passing by, and fancy a really tasty, hearty pasta or pizza meal, I can highly recommend giving Via Fratelli a shot - there's a good chance you'll be pleasantly surprised.
Decent pasta and pizza. Although it's definitely not $$, I enjoyed the pasta. The sauce is rich and flavourful, pasta is fresh. The pizza is great except its a bit greasy and soggy. But that might be because I left it sitting there for awhile. Portions are great and environment is cosy. Possibly coming back for a brunch session.
I’m really disappointed with this restaurant. We booked our table for 7:15pm and we arrived on time. But until 8pm, we still haven’t got any dishes being served. There’s no any explanation or apology to us. Definitely won’t come again.
Always a pleasure eating here. Last minute walk in on a Monday night you won't be disappointed Prices are most competitive I've seen for a long time. Love coming here
Italian food cooked by Indians which was definitely false advertising. The chef looked dirty and so did the restaurant. We didn’t even order and canceled our reservation. Definitely would not recommend.
Ok I'm calling it: Saturday night pizza here is the best I have had. 3 times now! Wow...I and some fellow diners have found that a good Friday or Saturday night pizza here is the best we have ever had. I don't say that lightly. Aside from pizza everything i have tried has been great! Lovely staff too.
It might look like your regular average pizza/pasta restaurant, but Via Fratelli is above that. The food is always really, really good and the service is pretty much always spot on. It's a very casual restaurant, and certainly not fine dining, but if you're wanting that good, comforting and homely meal, that's what you'll get here. While I usually have their gnocci which is always soft and beautiful and have tried a chicken pizza once and thoroughly enjoyed it, the last time I went, I ordered their special which was a homemade roasted pumpkin, sage and ricotta ravioli, with a delicious sage butter and cream sauce. It was delectable and yum. The bottom line is that with everything they have on their menu and the great service and reasonable prices, if you're after a reliable good, casual Italian meal, then this is the place. Lot's of parking on the street and a lot of space inside for a meal for two or a big party of even up to 20 or so.
Pizzas are Paper - thin, crispy crust with fresh ingredients, just cooked perfectly and melted in your mouth! The meat balls are yummy but the chilli and garlic calamari beats it all! Tender and soft, it is simply brilliant!
