Throughout lockdown we were ordering home delivered meals from Vento. Their food & service is always fantastic! Was great to be able to go dine in again - they've got great covid safe practices in place without losing the relaxed & pleasant eat in experience. Always full & satisfied after eating from Vento Cafe!
I give this place for stars as food was excellent customer service was excellent but I found a hair in my food upon finding a hair in my food we spoke to one of the staff and they spoke to the manager although did was offer to replace the meal instead of taking it off the bill that's why I've given it 4 stars not five stars. If you find a hair in your food first of all it's OH&S secondly the meal should be given for free. Otherwise I can't complain everything else was spot on
Food is not worth the price you pay. Some staff are nice but others are rude and only like their long term "regulars". There are other cafes in Wallan that are much better.
Had a great breakfast feed as always at the Vento Cafe, lovely food and kind & respectful staff. Plenty room to socially distance, clean and good for money. Disability/ wheelchair accessible with parking available in main carpark.

Popped in for lunch, sorry but this is not a positive review. This is our second visit and thought we’d give it one more go. Ordered the cheese and potato pancake, partner ordered the club sandwich. This pancake is doughy, has very little taste, sparse shreds of potato, stringy cheese which leaves a good crust. Partner’s sandwich had the chicken mayo mix. Bacon was very overdone - possibly leftover from breakfast? Mayo mixture was uncomfortably warm, piles of shoestring chips that were underdone. My little salad was quite nice. Couldn’t finish the pancake self confessed potato and cheese addict so was a challenge get to do so, did tell staff member upon plate clearance that it was very doughy, to which I received an apology. Had the same dish on our first visit, was hoping it was a one-off but sadly no. Partner was rather apprehensive about finishing the mayo mix, no concerns five days later, admittedly it came in toasted bread so we weren’t sure if it was meant to be cold or hot? Staff very helpful and accommodating but didn’t pick up on the cue regarding food quality and we weren’t going to make a fuss, cafes and restaurants have been through enough. Sadly though I feel the need to share this review with the objective of providing an opportunity to improve. I’m a Pancake Parlour potato pancake tragic, I make them at home, I also make club style sandwiches, I have a benchmark against which to judge. I hope this review is helpful.
Crumbed chicken burger is a schnitzel burger and it was the worst burger I’ve ever had lol slop in a brioche bun this cafe seems to want to take on the pop culture of food and hospo but fail at it
Great place to come for breakfast and lunch. I always order an iced mocha and strawberry fields pancakes.
This was my second visit. My 1st visit was without my partner and lunch, it was very disappointing this visit I had my partner with me. We were there for breakfast. I purposely waited for my partners reaction before I commented. He ordered a flat white coffee, it came frothy and Lukewarm. I order the zucchini and corn fritters...I couldn't taste the zucchini nor the corn through the taste of the smokey dirty oil, the handful of undressed mixed packet lettuce didn't add any relief. Sorry guys..we want too be regulars.
