Great, steak med/rare perfect, nice mash very hot, nice variety in the salad, good balanced dressing. Only hiccup the online menu wasn't the same as the restaurant. No complaints from the rest of the table of 10 people.Service: 4/5
Had a lovely meal with family here. Large enough portions, tasty & fresh. Nut sundae was lacking nuts but was an enormous portion of icecream. No coffee machine which was disappointing.Service: 4/5
We visited the Ventnor Hotel for dinner last Saturday night. We thought it would be busy and it was. They appeared to be short staffed, but the staff they had did a good job despite this. The noise was deafening. I don't think I've been in such a noisy place, making conversation very restricted. The food was very disappointing. One of our party had the schnitzel with mushroom sauce. He really is not one to complain at all, but he said he just couldn't eat the schnitzel. It was just awful. He said the sauce tasted revolting, and the beef was like cardboard. It looked like a dog's breakfast, but I don't think even the dog would eat it! It was replaced with a sundae icecream when he complained, which he said was very nice. The rest of us had fish which were ok, except the portions were miserly and the meals overpriced too. It was meant to be a night off cooking, but we all wished we had stayed home.
Had a cold one with my kids. Needs a door on the games room so kids can't see in. my kid was adamant and had a break down at the outside because he wanted to play games and could not cute place Food & drinks: I only had a beer it was cold and wet
Had a meal on Saturday night, I decided to try the double beef and bacon burger, big mistake, big big mistake, two l thick leather like 'blocks' of 'meat' that looked like they had been leftover from something else, slimy onions, terrible burger it would have to be the worst I've ever had, others said their meals 'ok'. A local, the next day, said 'yeah, you should have gone to Stansbury ' drink prices also top dollar, go to Stansbury!
Staff are friendly and service is quick. Meals are horrible!! $28 for a chicken curry with a small amount of rice and 8 pieces of chicken. The chicken breast in one meal resembled the sole of a shoe it was that dry and tough. First time I have had to order beer nuts after ordering an entree and a main, recommend steer clear for meals!!

4 of us went in for a Sunday night meal. The dining room is comfortable. The staff were friendly and courteous. The meals were lovely. I had the seafood spaghetti! Absolutely wonderful! One of the best things I've eaten.
Quite disappointed….. Came for lunch the other day and was keen to have my seafood fix. The pub itself is really lovely and in a cracking location. The food was such a let down. Our oysters were the highlight out of the 3 dishes so I will give them credit for that. Beautiful and plump and cooked really well. The main meals were quite expensive for what they were. $35 for a serving of fish and chips??? Really?? It had 3 small pieces of king whiting with a handful of chips and a side salad. My partner ordered the seafood pasta and oh my, the chef needs to try his food before he sends it out. It was bland, watery, seafood was mainly all pipies and then they draped soggy white anchovies on the top… then to make it worse the chilli was so overpowering that was all you could taste after a while. Spent $99 and only enjoyed $30 worth of food!
Food not to bad . Was very very loud in there . But over all wasn't bad.
