Pleasant cafe with good sitting spaces indoor and outdoor. Few on street parking infront and plent around the block. The menu looked good for brekfast and brunch options with reasonable price.
Excellent breakfast see image. Coffee strong & fresh… friendly service. Location is on Gordon St, Sorell. Plenty of on street parking out front. Clean inside, comfortable seating indoors or takeaway. Plenty of food & beverage options. Highly recommended.
Beautiful place, I went for brunch & can I say, AMAZING. I ordered a hot chocolate. Amazing service, kind staff & beautiful landscape. Your welcomed to eat inside or out, they’re both amazing unique spots to eat & it’s so nice you have some different options. Would I come back here again? Of course!
Cute little cafe attached to an art gallery and craft shop. Super fast service. Had cake and coffee. Cakes were fresh and coffee was perfect. Tables needed cleaning more frequently and wiped down properly. Floors were grubby.Food: 5/5
Ordered at 11:45 food didn't arrive until 12:30, the chips ine my meal were cold. Edit:.not sure why it won't let me reply to your response. As someone who has worked in and ran kitchens for a good chunk of my working life, I'm aware most items don't take longer than 30 minutes to get that meal out for a restaurant. For a cafe 20-30 minutes. Anything you have to cook on the spot doesn't have a long cook time. So that's poor time management or lack of staff on your part. Any head chef I've worked under would chew me out for that. I strongly contemplated sending it back, I didn't have the time after that to wait for your kitchen to fix that meal, I had a schedule to stick too. Nor did I want re heated chips and fish, I'm well aware of these practices in kitchens to save on time and product.

After many recommendations, I was finally in Sorell long enough to try out the Velvet Cafe. I had the Eggs Benedict Florentine and it was cooked to perfection. I wish I had ordered a coffee because the ones coming out looked and smelt lovely. Atmosphere was calm and relaxed. Fantastic little cafe, will be back!
Eggs benedict were good but pancakes weren't much to write home about. They were more like a cake, far too thick and flavour wasn't great. Coffee was great. Thank you.
Had the Velvet Big Breakfast and long black, these guys nailed it, loved it, very tastefully decorated on the inside
