I have been in Mackay since 2016 and I can say without a doubt the fish and chips in mackay are garbagenUntil today. I've eaten from the other Vellas and the fish and chips were burnt and disgusting. But this one the food was perfect. The fish was cook properly not overcooked. I had crumbed fish and chips. And they were real chips and a good sized serving. Cooked perfectly. I can't believe it's taken this long to find a decent fish and chip shop.nnKeep up the good work!!!!!
It's absolutely disappointing.nThis was our favourite fish and chips and is nowhere near as good as it should or usually is.nHad to check the chips before leaving as there is not enough chicken salt or salt at all on the chips.nWe ordered a fish burger, and it was the worst burger we have ordered and paid for. It's like the ingredients are sprinkled.nPicture of the fishnNot returning.
Nice lil place for a late night feed with my guy n kids. Shame my lil fella wasn't fan but asd will do that with anything he's not used to. Honestly no complaints n loved how the gravy was separated from the chips because not all of us eat it. Thanks guys.
