In all honesty, I was really pleased with my stay at Varsity. There's a lot to go into as far as what to expect, but I'll summarise that for my part I was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed the place and how worthwhile I found the deal to be.nnThe staff were all friendly and helpful, from the admin staff to the maintenance and security workers. Even when having to shut down parties late at night I found them to be very polite about it which I appreciate. When we ran into a maintenance problem with our apartment they were also pretty quick to address it and get it sorted out too.nnIt is worth noting that while my apartment was clean on arrival with only a couple of little issues, I did have a few friends that reported arriving to dirty rooms which of course isn't ideal. So maybe be aware of that, but hopefully it has since improved.nnA lot of what will determine the quality of your stay will be less down to staff and more down to which roommates you end up with and how well you vibe with them, as well as how well you vibe with communal living in general and all the things that come with living in close proximity to a lot of other people.nnI can't speak so much for the 'quiet' side of Varsity, but as far as the 'party' side goes I'd definitely recommend it for someone who likes being social. Make some friends and it's just so easy to entertain yourselves be it by playing sports, going for a sunbake and swim, or getting involved with the very common parties.nnYou may run into some minor problems, but at the end of the day I think it's a great life experience with very reasonable rent by Australian standards at least, and good staff. If you put in some effort, you'll get a lot out of it.
Useful and accommodating. My 3 year experience at Varsity was unreal. A great place to meet people of all backgrounds as well as practical living. Always felt looked after by staff and security. 10/10, would recommend.
As an exchange student from Idaho and I had the most wonderful time at Varsity and the University! The staff Michelle and Toni were so helpful and always there for me when I needed help or had questions or even just calming me down when I needed someone to talk to. Varsity also has security 24/7 and a locked gate to ensure all residence are safe which was extremely comforting as an international student! The apartments are full of diversity with amazing people from all across the globe. This creates a unique atmosphere we’re all reindents at Varsity are interacting and mingling. As an exchange student this was extremely comforting and helped ensure that I had friends and neighbors I knew I could go to. The Univeristy is a quick 5min walk away and such a fantastic place to achieve a higher education. The professors are intuitive and great at helping international students. I highly recommend staying at Varsity it’s super easy to apply just make sure you go through the website. Overall a lovely experience full of great people, staff, accommodations and, memories. Thank you to the wonderful staff and people at the University and Varsity for this incredible experience
Great accomodation very close to USC and shops, Competitive rent, with air conditioning and your own ensuite,nRecently changed to new owners who are lovely and can already see improvements,nWell kept and clean grounds,nOn site security available all hours during the weekend/nights and do a great job!nand Pat who runs maintenance is always there to help fix any issue, The office lady’s are also a great bunch of people!neveryone is friendly and always up for a chat,nStayed for 3 years and in counted zero issues,n10pm noise rule is great, no issues with roommates, great environment to meet people from all parts of the globe,nGated parking is available! 10/10 recommend Varsity!nThanks Guys nJosh
In bad shape…. Not beeing looked after at all. But people make the best of it.nnUpdate of review, 24/01/2024:nAnswer from Varsity: „Hello Roman, Apologies for the late reply. As your name is not recognised as a Varsity Apartment tenant, I can only assume you were renting with an outside agent. The On-Site Management are not responsible for all apartments in the complex.“nnYes, I rented via AirBnb. Yet the Pool, the washing machines, the „fitness room“ and general facilities are your responsability if I am not wrong? - None of theme were looked after properly in my opinion.nnThanks for the response though.
