Fantastic hidden gem! Outstanding service found rarely these days, food was fresh and depth of flavour in all dishes was incredible, the dumplings and fish curry are a must! Thanks for a wonderful evening!
Vans is a great local restaurant with a chilled vibe, friendly staff and outstanding food. Really interest cross section of Asian and European cuisine! The dumplings were amazing: could just eat those! The steamed fish was perfect and side greens perfectly cooked! The wine list is special and the owner passionate about the selection! Great night! Thank you!
This is by far the most refined restaurant of the area. I have been walking past for months and always wanted to try. Asian fusion food with great quality products. The service is really good and the tables outside very pleasant in the evening. We all shared dishes, as intended to be. All the dishes we ordered were perfectly cooked and presented. The flavours are spot on everytime and it really takes you to southeast Asia. Don't overlook the desserts they also deliver big time: the pandan crêpes were amazing. The only comment we had is the portions that can be a bit small for some dishes. Example one crepe for $14. We ordered a second one because they were good Hats off to the chef, we'll come back for sure.
The food is great and I have loved coming here for a long time. Unfortunately I have to stop eating here as after being told there were no peanuts in any of the dishes we ordered all have been ordered before my dumplings came with peanuts scattered over the top. Luckily I’m paranoid and always on the lookout. Someone else could have trusted them and died. Really disappointing in 2022. It’s ok to not be able to cater for allergies - but don’t lie and put peoples lives at risk.
Amazing asian fusion food, some of the best in the eastern suburbs! Waitstaff were so lovely and friendly and the drinks were great. Definitely will come back again!
I absolutely love Van, I have been there many times and they never fail to make the most delicious dishes. The staff are very helpful and kind and the service is fast and efficient, definitely a place I’d recommend to everyone to try !
The John Dory Curry is the bomb. We had a great night with great food. Fully recommend checking Van Espresso Bar out if you haven't already.

Service was poor, firstly told we could sit without reservation, then told we needed to leave, then told OK to stay, then halfway through drinks was asked to if we were going to order more food as they wanted us to leave for a local politician who wanted the table. Shame.
Just came for a takeaway coffee, but this place is stunningly setup for the perfect dinner, loved the table setups, chic, classy and romantic and the whole ambience just ideal. The staff were so perky and welcoming, absolutely lovely and look forward to coming soon for a lovely dinner. Looked at the menu, the prices look chaired and fantastic with a great selection of proper French wines. This place does Clovelly proud! Will recommend it for sure. Thanks for the proper service and cordiality.
