SHOCKING SERVICE, Cheaper to shop elsewere.They say sorry now to look competent here, after ongoing abuse which was uncalled for.They say 1st delivery lost but couldnt give tracking number for 1st. RUBBISH!!!! Incompetent and confused about what they are doing with online orders. One star is to high . Fraudulent and dishonest business .customers Dont respond to abuse they should know this in business. such lies.unprofessional. Item still sits at our front door, I do not own it or take any responsibility for it now. payed $250 for ducted vac hose which wasn't sent weeks after ordering.Doble talk lies form company and i didnt know why. Ongoing confrontational,abusive emails from them .. , They did refunded me via Paypal intervention,THEN they sent item AFTER i was refunded , sending yelling and abusive emails saying now pay up. CRAZY !!!! .Constantly pushing for me to revise this feedback , instead of offering to sort out their mistakes or some kind of polite explanation,and send what i had payed for, they opted for abuse and threats. we just ask politie question asking about item not received many weeks after ordering.These People should not be dealing with the public.!!!! Learn how Paypal refund intervention is a request and this works helping buyers AND sellers sort things out. .I do ignore abusive emails and phone calls from ignorant abusive individuals.This is my choice. You sent the refund voluntarily to Paypal then the hose AFTER refund and expect payment after all the abuse from you. Pick it up at front door if you want it back I am not paying for courier.
I purchased my Dyson 5 years ago with no issues when suddenly the roller brush stopped spinning. I called Dyson, they told me the part is not available and that I need to buy a new vacuum. I rang a few places with no luck. Then came across Vac City and they said to bring my Dyson in for assessment to see if anything can be done. After 3 days I got my Dyson back and it’s working like brand new! I will highly recommend to friends and family! Thank you to all the staff at Vac City! From a VERY happy customer.
Shocking after purchase care - our first vacuum from here was faulty but it took them three months to replace it. The second vacuum was also faulty but the shop refused to accept responsibility and also took 4 weeks to make contact about it. Terrible service, people and place. Despite what the shop states, no email was ever sent detailing the damage to the machine nor was water ever used anywhere near the new machine. After 5 uses, it simply stopped charging or working for more than 30 seconds. The refusal to refund or even contact us until a month had passed was outrageous.
Don't normally run a small business down, but these guys are as untrustworthy as it gets. And after reading other reviews, Vac City are either the "unluckiest" company in Australia with packages being "lost" with AusPost/Couriers or it's a great business model to save on postage and place blame on someone else. While they still have your full payment. After 6 weeks of attempting to figure out where an almost $800 vacuum was. I decided to go and pick it up myself from their store. There were zero attempts at resolving from their end. Told on the phone that "I would have to wait for the vacuum "to be returned from the courier, before we can send/pick-up a new one"... I called AusPost myself they had no record of receiving the package, but did have the order number in their system. After driving two hours to pick it up, I was then told by a complete smart a** in store "You should have requested us to resend"... Postage was never refunded as promised... Get ready for an excuse and shift of blame response from the owners.
VacCity Murrumbeena does not even deserve one star. I took my Kirby vacuum to this business after being assured they could service it and do a minor repair. Having heard nothing two weeks later I rang and was told it was ready so picked it up. It would not work properly so I took it back. Three weeks later I rang again to be told they could not repair it. They refunded $100 of their fee. I have since had a Kirby repair man come and he was horrified at what they had done - parts from another machine had been used and lots of damage had been caused.He was able to repair the machine. His comment was that it was the worst repair he had ever seen. Do not take a Kirby to them . Goodness knows what their repairs on other machines are like!

UPDATE: Today 13/1 I received a call from a Vac City rep who said they'd read my review and wanted to help me. They have contacted Miele and after sending photos of the wand, have agreed to replace the part under warranty which they will send directly next week. I'm happy with this solution which is as I expected it should be when I made the initial contact. I purchased a genuine miele telescopic wand from Vac City online in June 2022. I paid $99 for the part and an additional $14.80 for express delivery. I was pretty impressed with the speedy service and I received the part as promised. In December 2022 after normal use, I also have a stick vaccum which I use more regularly the button mechanism started to fail and the wand was difficult to click into place, feeling like it might break at anytime so I taped it up. I waited until after the Christmas period to make contact. I had difficulty finding a returns under warranty process on the website so I sent an email explaining the issue and how to go about a return. I also explained that I'd experienced the same fault with the original miele wand and therefore wondered if it was a known fault. The owner David responded saying that I should get in touch with Miele directly and that he didn't know of any faults with miele wands. I was taken aback by the response given the seller is responsible for providing options for return/refund/replacement when they've sold a faulty item. I also did a quick search online to find that this is a known fault. I responded to David and again asked him to provide the process for returning faulty goods and what solutions for rectification were available. While David responded quickly to my initial email obviously hoping to fob me off, he hasn't responded to my response or follow up. In fairness, it's only been 6 days however please be wary of retailers who don't understand their obligations relating to the sale of faulty goods and honouring warranties. My next port of call will be to file a complaint with Fair Trading and refer him and his business to the ACCC if the issue isn't dealt with in a timely manner.
Great store,plenty of models and accessories. However I'm living across the road and the burglar alarm goes off so frequently, and it stays on for hours. This is highly illegal, and I'm gonna complain to officials. Owners either should invest into remote monitoring of their security system, or enable this alarm for a short period of time as per the regulations.
Very good service and they knew the product they were selling extremely well which included advice on how to get the best out of the vacuum and to ensure it had a long life of usage. They were also happy to answer any questions.
Well priced however absolutely zero after care service. I would not buy from them again or recommend them to anyone who is not a short drive away so you can go in store to speak with them. I tried to call over 20 times over the period of 3 months and they never answered once. No answering machine the line just hangs up.
