Great communication and customer front of house service from Andy and the Team, although a once over servicesummer travels on my toyota hiace, incld gsts @ $400 was crazy expensive with main task done of oil change etc , nil filters changed? $400? Then casually at the end of paying, by the way oil leaking , maybe you gear box might be on its way out? Went back to Toyota, under warranty to look at gear box? Nil issues, who advised , not even they charge this amount for a normal service. My van sorted for the summer now , might want to win lotto before getting a service at $400 incld gst....Service: General repairs & maintenance
Fantastic to deal with. Posted on a Facebook group that I needed a water pump and Andy messaged me to say he’s got one in stock. Sent me an invoice, I paid it and within 30 minutes was sent a receipt and the tracking number for the package. Had a nice little gift of lollies inside the package too. Great work!
Great, professional and always helpful. Have recommended all my VW friends.
Awful mechanical services!! After a trip back to the Waikato via the Kaimai, I took my car in with brake concerns. My car seat was taken out and a new one being looked for. Mitch spoke with me after removing my seat then letting me know why and that my car would be secured at their garage. Then given a qoute of $600 before installment for a 2nd hand seat, I asked him to put the seat back and that I would organise for the car to be towed home. When I tried to utilise my consumer rights I was told that the car was unsafe to drive and that he wasn't willing to release my car without it's seat. I assured Mitch that the car was being professionally towed home and from there I'd ring around for a 2nd opinion & hopefully cheaper qoute. I was then told that my seat was already disposed of and the car couldn't be released until the VW Shoppe technician had done its WOF check. Mitch helped organise a courtesy car while my car remained with VW Shoppe & paid $600 towards the seat. A few days later after I made numerous calls & finally, Mitch informed me about what my car had failed the WOF on - Rear bumper & quoted almost $2000. When I had replied that the bumper was in the process with insurance for the repairs. It was rudely assumed "if I really had insurance". There were also costings given to me that apparently needed to be done before giving my car back. I once again asked for my car back so I could utilise a mechanic service of my choice. I was again told my car was too unsafe to drive and because of that, Vw Shoppe had the right to hold an unfit vehicle. My car was with VW Shoppe for 2 weeks in total. The communication from VW shope was an awful experience & stressful as it sounded like it was becoming a very expensive check over. On the 13th day I called again & spoke with Paul. After explaining the delima Paul let me know that the car had it's new seat installed. Paul also apologized & that it wasn't a hassle for me to go to other mechanics to have my car repaired & let me pick up my car. I recently took my vehicle for its WOF and the WOF check from VW Shoppe was also given. My car passed it's WOF without the almost $2700 bill for repairs that was originally generated from VW Shoppe. The only thing that did fail on the 2nd WOF testing was the dirty headlights I'm glad I was not charged the & $75 per headlight clean from the 2nd mechanics that I used for the WOF.
My mechanic is in Napier so I went to this place while I was in Waikato. They definitely saw me coming! I was charged nearly $600 for a service and to check my heating & cooling system of which they replaced a filter only. When I got my vehicle back, I started having all sorts of problems which I had never had previously. On my way back to Napier the problems escalated. I was losing power, constant computer error msgs, sensor problems & brake issues! Took it back to my own Napier mechanic who I have been with for 8 years & they were shocked by the price I was charged for the very little work that had actually been done. They said that there were issues that were caused by a lack of care & attention. These issues were avoidable. I will never recommend or use this place to anyone I know in Waikato. It’s disgusting that this establishment thinks it’s okay to rip hardworking people off. I hope this was just one bad egg & not standard practise by all employed there.Services: General repairs & maintenance
I have only met Paul once, many Years ago, but each time we make contact, it`s as if it were yesterday since last talking. He gives me so much abuse, I return it, and we still I hope have a good Business relationship. Whatever Parts I require for my `56 VW, Paul always offers an alternative, or finds the needed item amongst the vast array of bits and pieces he has accumulated over the Years of dealing with VW`s. His knowledge of the product is a credit to him and his clients. If I go on to much about Paul, I know he will get a swollen Head and won`t be able to leave the Premises, and then I will get the blame for him missing his next Meal. Thanks Paul for the great Service over the past Years, and possiibly future ones to come.
Always a great service, friendly team members with a lot of experience.
Best service, very knowledgeable staff, always quick response, quick delivery. Best place for second hand parts due to staff understanding obscure projects and knowing just how to help.
Disappointed greatly.... brought engine here to give it a birthday! $4.5k later & it leaked oil worse than before I dropped it off, & smoking like a chimney. Returned motor as under warranty, for them to drag thier heels for weeks before returning it, still using half a litre of oil on 200km trip & puddles of oil under engine afterwards.... repeated calls to speak with Paul normally left waiting days for a call back. Still waiting for engine issues to be remedied
